Aphrodite's Organic Cafe
Aphrodite's is more than a restaurant and pie shop, it's a community fiercely dedicated to wild, organic, local and sustainable food. We work directly with local farms and producers to ensure that our menu has the smallest ecological footprint possible. We're a home for the sustainable food movement in Vancouver, supporting local farmers, producers, artists, charities and non-profits.

For us, it's bigger than pie - it's food you can feel good about. Where it all began; a small bakery and caf spreading the love of local, organic ingredients one slice at a time. To this day, we're undeniably famous for our pies, but customers also enjoy our fresh muffins and baked goodies. For those with special dietary requirements, we offer gluten-friendly and vegan pies too!
Services
Aphrodite's Pie Shop is where it all began back in 2003; a cute and cozy retail bakery and coffee shop, spreading the love of local, organic ingredients one slice at a time.

Today it still has the same warm feel; it's a place where you can slow down for a momment, step back in time in the old heritage building and enjoy a mug of homemade chai with a slice of pie (or a fresh muffin), while you catch up with friends or a good book that you picked up from our neighbours, Banyen Books! Our pies are individually handmade, one at a time, with lots of love.
Aphrodite's Caf serves our famous brunch 7 days a week, featuring gourmet organic dishes made from fresh, local ingredients. We source our ingredients as close to home as possible because supporting local is important to us-and it's a difference you can taste. We're serving up thoughtful flavours that are good for the heart in more ways than one.
We receive hundreds of requests for donations to very worthy organizations every year. While we would love to support each and every one, it is not always possible. Requests can be emailed directly to the contact page at least 6 weeks prior to your event. We will do our best to get back to you within 2 weeks.

My wife and I had lunch today here. I ordered the green egg & ham, my wife ordered the ham & egger. The food came and it was lovely, everything was going fine at first. The food, as always, tasted good.
Mid way through our meal, I found a staple in my egg omelet. I immediately let our server know. She apologized and offered to waive that item from our bill. The kitchen also re-made my egg omelet for me. The situation was resolved, and I was happy to resume my meal.
When we finished our meal, our server brought over the bill and we found out that instead of waiving the item from our bill, they

Super good food. Fresh. Open 9-3. Be prepared to wait as locals love this place. They bake their bread in-house. You can buy a loaf for $8.

As always, what a wonderful brunch.
Their benedicts are large, soul-warming, deliciously scrumptious plates of perfection.
I personally add avocado to my back bacon benny, and I also added a sausage this time as I was super hungry!
Great service. Oh and if you're sitting outside and it's cold, they'll give you a blanket ♡

Haven’t been before and we were excited to try. We got take out. $36 for two small portioned mediocre dishes.
Im not sure if it’s just a take out thing… but these portion sizes were pathetic given how much it cost!
My partner ordered the Glen Valley breakfast. I ordered the Spanish Banks Burrito. Her order was small for $18!!! Two fried eggs as it says. No seasoning. Three fork fulls of potatoes and a small salad with no dressing. My burrito was small. I would pay $9 for that… not $18.
All in all, we could make this at home far better than what we had gotten.
I don’t know that we’ll

Solid 4 Stars here 👍
Had the Smoked Salmon Benny - probably the best I have ever had. Too bad they don't pan fry their hashbrowns, as they are always best a little crispy. The hashbrowns here are soft, you could almost mash them up, but the delicious benny made up for that. I added a Bison sausage, which is on top the hashbrowns.
Friendly staff, clean place and spacious.
Not cheap here, but you get what you pay for.
I'll be back again and again, as they do a nice job with the breakfast here. Actually I have only eaten breaky here.

Been here twice, went here with great expectations because i love vegetarian and organic food. the hostess didn’t greet us or anything and straight up asked us for our vaccination cards- it can’t hurt to say hello, especially since we happily waited 20 minutes to get a spot.
the food is good but not good enough for the hype or the price. I had the omelette once and the french toast the second time. The omelette was certainly good, came with a nice salad and a side of very bland and soggy potatoes which were not that tasty. The french toast came with a lot of fresh fruit which i enjoyed, except

I love Aphrodite’s! I’ve been going here frequently for about two years now and I’ve never had a bad experience. The food is bomb and they always cater to my dietary restrictions (HUGE PLUS for me). I also love the boho down to earth vibe. The girls that work here are super sweet too.

Ordered the Turkey Pot Pie and this is what it looked like. Absolutely delicious, a decently sized portion, and great service given too! Not only was the pie pretty tasty, the salad was delicious as well. Lots and lots of flavour. Would recommend if in the area.

Massive portion sizes and the perfect place for a sunny day in Vancouver!
I ordered the salmon Benny (I’m a sucker for salmon anything) and it was really good :’))
I wish the cocktails could’ve been sweeter, but that’s just my preference haha. A little pricey, but worth it because you feel full for 2 meals anyway!

My friend and I came here on a Saturday morning. After spending 15 minutes in line at the pie shop (NOTE: the café is located diagonally, across the street from the pie shop), we were seated immediately. The space is huge and we were not near other tables.

We started off with juices. I ordered the Gaia juice (Kale, Beet, Carrot, Ginger, Lemon) and it was super flavorful. It was sweet from the carrot and beet. Then, I ordered their vegan Roasted Fennel Tofu Scramble Wrap (scrambled tofu with roasted fennel, shallot and hearty greens, wrapped in a toasted roma tortilla, served with vegan cilantro

I recently had a great experience at the pie shop across the street so got a friend to come here with me for brunch. They actually have their tables distanced well and were at capacity inside when we arrived, but we requested to be seated on the patio and were seated immediately. Although we sat outside, I really like the warm, homey interior. The patio is also fairly spacious (for the location). The service was all very friendly.
I had the Stuffed French Toast and a Golden Turmeric Milk (with coconut milk). They must have misheard my drink order because they brought me a coconut milk americano

We live a block away, so have been here many, many times. This place is just ok, and is very deserving of the average 3 star review that it gets on this site.

The food has its high points and low points. The hollandaise is excellent, and they offer a decent hot sauce from the SW that you can ask for. All of the breakfasts come with a side salad, which fills half of the plate. Its weird enough to eat a salad for breakfast, but to make thing worse, it's usually not fresh, and is decomposing. I don't usually eat this, so it's a waste of money for me. I'd rather have extra

Since lots of people in the reviews seem to be reviewing the wrong place, I want to clarify: Aphrodite's Cafe is the table-service restaurant, Aphrodite's Pie Shop is the bakery/coffee shop.
This is a great place for brunch with lots of gf and vegetarian options (decent selection of vegan options too). Food and drink are both fantastic. For drinks, they have an espresso bar, tea, specialty hot drinks, and fresh juice and smoothies. They serve standard brunch and lunch fare. Depending on what you get, the price can be a little excessive. Service is friendly and quick.

Everything they serve here is delicious! The service is fantastic, our server (Jasmine) who served us on several occasions was so happy helpful and efficient. The vibe in this place is so uplifting, it became our go to place while on vacation. My wife is Gluten intolerant but never struggled to find something tasty on the menu.

The very berry muffin should have been called the very disappointing muffin. Maybe 3 berries in the whole thing and tasted more like grains and carrots. The latte for $5.50 came in a baby cup. They are trying to charge $8.25 for a small slice of pie! Absurd.

The products come in small portions and are nothing exciting. I will say the girls on staff were friendly and cute which is the only reason I would give the place 3 stars.

I was so looking forward to having a nice brunch on a Sunday afternoon this past weekend. However, i have lost all my appetite after the restaurant served me the wrong type of meat i have ordered. For ethical reasons i only eat certain types of meat, and when i have taken a bite out of my sausage i knew something was very wrong about it. When i asked the waitress, she just shrugged and said that the kitchen must have made a mistake and she just would take that particular meat item off my receipt.
I was horrified of the though that i just swallowed the type of animal i do not consume and have never

This place would be five star if the girls that actually work here actually liked their Job of serving ! The waitress had to be asked to do anything example to get water, sides, cutlery, refills, bill, had to be asked Several times before it was even taken taken of ! Beyond rude and I am so sad cause the food is delicious but they have waitresses that HATE their job and make the customer experience very bad and not joyful. If you don't mind Beyond Bad service than try it out the food is great so obviously I'm not just saying this review as anything.? I hope the management reads these

I admit I only came here because I wanted to buy a whole pie and this was across the street from the pie shop (yes I know it's the same company). The place looked clean, nice, and didn't have any weird smells so yay for that! Loved the natural wood table I sat at. [First Star]

The waitress was friendly and I didn't have to wait too long for the food and drink [Second Star].

Now for the drink. I had a mocha. The Mocha came with whipped cream on top and the drink itself was nice and rich. I highly recommend it. [Third Star].

As for the food itself. I had the sausage benny (Sorry

Decent food but really terrible service, especially considering how incredibly expensive this place is.

Will randomly take chair from your table without asking, reach for ketchup bottle from your table before asking, bump into your seat, never show up with the cheque. Basically the service you get from the trashiest diner yet charges 35 buck a person for breakfast, 40 for dinner, all without alcohol.

I have been to the pie shop across the road a million times but this was my first visit here. I have to say it was what I expected, delicious food and the service was good. We were told that there was no rush even after we had paid, and there was a line up on their door. The place is busy and it is sometimes hard to get the servers' attention, and at times they are too fast. But, they do a good job. I had the elk hash and it was flavourful and the portion was good sized. I loved the rosemary fries and the poached eggs and sauce, however they were on the oily side and some tomatoes or veggies

I came to this place for the first time and it wasn't bad. Lovely menu of organic food and pies to choose from. The soups are made from scratch and always tastes yummy. My favourite is the goddess soup that comes with the bread. I have to warn you that their fresh baked bread is very addictive. It's hard to resist just eating one piece !! The caramelized leek and lentil house soup was okay for me though. I did like the field of greens with its mixture of greens and chick peas. The house dressing was light but complimented the salad. The roasted organic chicken pizza was delicious
