In 1970 Mark Andreassen opened Kerrisdale Toyota, a single car showroom, service facility and gas bar. In 1972 the dealership moved to its new home on Burrard street and was renamed Downtown Toyota Centre. Over the years the dealership continued to grow and receive numerous awards from Toyota. After several years of trying to move or update the facility the decision was made to sell and relocate.
