Acupuncture is a therapeutic method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing, reducing or relieving pain, increasing energy, and improving function of affected areas of the body. It involves the insertion of very fine round tip needles through the skin and tissues at specific points on the body.
Your body contacts the bike at the pedals, seat, and handlebars. The relative position of these 3 contact points determines your comfort and efficiency on the bike. This is true for road, mountain, and time trial (triathlon) bikes. To achieve the right fit on the bike you need to spend some time riding and pay attention to aches and pains in your body.
For decades, medical professionals have told concussed athletes to rest, avoid bright lights, and limit activity until asymptomatic. But emerging science recommends to avoid rest beyond 3 days, and to participate in active treatments which help to rehabilitate the brain, prevent mental health issues, and eliminate long-term consequences.
Custom orthotics are corrective devices worn inside the shoe that help to put the foot and ankle in proper alignment - this can assist the muscles, tendons, and bones of your feet and lower legs function optimally. While orthotics can be made by several different processes, at Maximum we take a mold of the patient's foot using impression foam and send it to a laboratory with the physiotherapist's directions for correction.
We are all hoping for someone to produce that magic pill to treat and prevent major illness and disease. It seems that exercise might be the closest thing we have to that pill! Regular physical activity is one of the most fundamental and affordable actions we can take as individuals to avoid disease and stay well.

I would like to thank Sue and team for helping my son Connor after he had an head injury. The out come was a concussion that limited him to a lot over 5 weeks. Keeping him from school, work and play.
