Booked this last minute, arrived a few hours before sunset. Super close to the beach which was amazing. Our room was #1 and it was charming. Walls are a bit thin and the windows wobbly but when you can go to bed hearing the waves...what could be better. Breakfast could happen if you organized it in your room, we didn't but the young guy at the front made us coffee and that was great! Thanks for the great night.

Let me start by saying the location is absolutely fantastic. The Inn is located across one of the nicest stretches of beach.
We travelled 14 hrs from Ontario to get there. We called in advance to advise we were arriving around 8. From the outside it was so lovely. But then we go in, the stern owner doesn't even greet you. 3 words were spoken to us: sanitize, name and sign. I was shocked. No other form of check in. We were exhausted so asked where we could get some food. He shrugs his shoulders saying to us 'Times have changed, don't know' then he said to check a cafe down the road. Fortunately

Not my first - and definitely not the last time at this cozy and charming place! Very welcoming and caring hosts, amazing old Victorian style building, cozy rooms, tasty meals! Highly recommended if you want to escape from your routine or take a beak from a noisy town. The hotel is very well thought, and the owners are always ready to help you with anything you might need.

I stayed at the Surfside Inn approximately 15 years ago and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, this time, that was not the case. I stayed in the surfside retreat again and the first thing I noticed was that the outside of the Inn is really showing its age and is looking a little shabby. Their road sign is completely faded so if you're not paying attention to where it is, you could drive right by it, which I actually did. The room was very outdated with it's decorum. Old water stained pictures above the jacuzzi, old cloudy mirrors on the wall, and antiquated furniture in the room itself. If old

Was not as advertised. Our room was not Victorian theme like is boasted online. Not even a coffee maker or fridge in the room. Did not have any privacy and the patio to our room was shared with the front of the hotel. We were not happy and decided not to stay as it ruined the romantic feel of our valentines weekend especially since we could hear our upstairs neighbors talking and their hot tub. I wrote the hotel the next day and they have yet to answer my email.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in October, 2019. So romantic. The room was cozy and Victorian style. There is Netflix to watch on the tv and free wifi. The dinning room is beautiful; it’s Victorian style and at… dinner time, my boyfriend and I were the only ones in there which gave us lots of privacy and was very romantic. The food was delicious and we loved it so much. We’re going back this weekend. I can’t wait. The staff were so nice and accommodating, providing us with everything we asked for. Thank you so much ❤️

My sister and I were cycling the rum runner trail from Halifax and this was day one stop on our journey. The accommodations were conveniently located, just a short distance off the trail. We were welcomed at reception by a very friendly sweet young lady. The room was clean and comfy, supper was amazing, my sister had the mussels and I had the seafood chowder, so tasty. Dessert was an experience in itself, chocolate cheese cake and bread pudding. Breakfast was equally as satisfying, I just had yogurt, fresh fruit and a bagel. Omelettes, French toast and eggs Benedict was also on offer but seriously

Absolutely beautiful inn. Quaint, charming, delightful - reminiscent of a traditional English b&b. The food is spectacular - the seafood chowder one of the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back. Oh and it’s right next to a beautiful beach. I stayed in winter but still enjoyed a lovely walk from the inn along the beach.

Awesome experience! Rooms are unique with lots of character! The honeymoon suite was beautiful and the hot tub was very nice. The food was amazing. The best bread pudding I have ever had. Even the coffee is awesome. Lots of attention to details and attention paid to us to make sure our stay was exceptional!

We had booked at the last minute so we were not able to have a room facing the water since they were full. This was not a problem since we were still able to hear the ocean but had a view of the woods. Sasha was a wonderful chef and cooked our eggs at breakfast just right. We also had dinner there for 2 nights and it was delicious. We were able to eat either in the dining room or out on the deck. It was nice to have a choice. The room we had was big enough for the two of us and the ensuite was as big as any chain of hotel. Both Sasha and Serge were very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed talking
