Very disappointed in the owners and how they are running their outdoor events venue. Once they had our money in their hands, they absolutely did not care about our experience. They went back on their word numerous times. They were not only rude to us but our guests and vendors as well. Definitely would not recommend anyone to book their special day at Hillcrest Farm.

We had a very welcoming stay at Hillcrest in October. Being there just when getting into Canada after Covid was okay, there were few other guest around. We will return! They fed us a delicious breakfast even though regular Cafe was closed (staffing issues). Traffic noise died down well before we went to bed. 4 stars just because some people could whine about traffic in a.m. Be sure to order an item that includes the sun-dried tomato spread or a scone.

If I could give this place a 6 star review I would. Staff were super friendly and made very tasty breakfasts. The fact that there are only 5 rooms make for a homey feel. The rooms are very well decorated and you get a huge porch with a great view. A bonus was that there was actually shampoos and conditioners that weren’t just cheap hotel soaps. It is quite affordable for what you get and it’s only a short 15 minutes from the lake. Great location

The host was very rude to us on arrival - didn’t ask us anything about our trip or welcome us. Didn’t even say hello on arrival! We were delayed 5 hours due to a highway closure and the host had 0 hospitality. Just opened the door and stuck her hand out with the keys. In addition to that she was yelling at us on the phone after she made an error on the invoice she sent us and refused to honour the invoice (then charged us more than what our invoice said when we were checking out)! 0 for hospitality.

The worst service. Waited for 20 min to buy 2 products in the market area. Market is always open but there is hardly ever anyone serving you. Went to the cafe to ask for help 3 times friendly mentioning that I have a baby and hubby in the car waiting and 3 times I was told to wait a couple minutes. The first time I asked they told me they would be with me after serving the one and only client infront of me. The 2 other times I was very rudely told that I just need to wait. ??? There were 2 clients in the whole store. I wouldn't go there again.

A wonderful place for all! The food is delicious, the service is impeccable and Barb is just the BEST! We photographed a wedding on the property and it was not only so picturesque with the view and orchard, but the family-run business has such a splendid feel. Even the accommodation was clean, spacious, and modern. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay here. It was a snowy night and our plans changed, we stopped in late, the staff and owners were welcoming and accomodating. I was with my mother and two kiddos. The room was huge and the views lovely, just Fantastic location. Interesting story of this long time family farm and not to mention delicious breakfast! 10/10 Would stay again in a heart beat.
