Organic coffees and tasty teas combined with fresh baking daily make Summerland's Beanery Caf the choice for locals and out of town visitors. The Beanery is a welcoming caf, with a Euro feel to it. Not surprising since the owners are Dutch, and caf chairs and some of the interior decorations were brought from Holland.
The Beanery patio is great for people watching and good conversation and where you are welcome to bring along your well-behaved dog! The Beanery is the perfect place for free wi-fi, friendly service and superb coffees - along with delicious soups and delectable pastries. Check out the Menu. Our large selection of specialty drinks ranges from organic Paisley teas - to the other end of the spectrum.

For years, Ashley and Braden were looking to move to the Okanagan with their young child, Clavier. Beautiful views, friendly community and being closer to family were the main priorities for this young family. Ashley, who is Armenian, and loves to cook and bake, knew that this local favourite spot, The Beanery Cafe, would be the perfect fit.
These images will serve as a taste of what you can expect when you come to the Beanery Caf in Summerland. Came in for a quick sandwich during our road trip. We had a bit of a mix up with the order due to allergies and they were so accommodating. They fixed our order right away and gave my husband an extra order of soup while we waited. The soup was amazing and the sandwich was worth the wait. Didn't try any coffee or drinks but would definitely try them next time.

Had a bizarre and expensive experience here.
Espresso drinks were made poorly. Cashier had to be corrected multiple times. And I was overcharged. I only noticed at the very end when walking out that I really shouldn't have paid $48.00 for what I ordered.
Soup was cold.
Latte and cappuccinos were so sweet - they pumped way too much syrup when I specifically said 1 pump.
Charged twice over for single items ordered.
Wrap was not edible. It had uncooked ham in it. I didn't even bother mentioning it to them.
They even wanted to sell me a bottle of Evian water for my kids who wanted a glass a water

The food and coffee are great. The sandwiches are tasty and large. The only complaint I have is that after visiting this coffee shop four times, I along with other patrons have waited about 20 minutes to get our drinks or food. They are so slow. They are very nice and friendly. But if your looking for stopping in for a quick coffee or bite, you will be standing and waiting a good twenty minutes for it. If you don’t mind the longer than usual wait, it’s a great coffee shop

Our first time there Yesterday. I had the Chicken Panini which was huge, but very bland. My partner had the ham panini which was half size of chicken panini (same price), but somewhat tastier. Is Ok to provide bland sandwiches so long as you readily provide a variety of sauces/condiments. I would not recommend the sandwiches unless you like bland.

I only knew about this place because a friend told me about it. We spent a weekend in Summerland and ended up here THREE times in four days in between the Giantshead Grind Event, checking out wineries and just wandering around the town.
The dark roast coffee hits the spot for us coffee lovers, the fresh made cinnamon buns are sweet, gooey, and satisfying, oh and they make a pretty mean breakfast too (wraps, paninis).
The staff is super friendly, the owner brags about her husbands baking (rightly so!) and the view out the front door is spectacular.

A lovely little place to chill in before/after exploring the adjacent vineyards and wineries. The toy train suspended from the ceiling is especially adorable,
The dark roast is lovely, that does the job when it comes to afternoon coffee needs.
They have a selection of baked goods , sandwiches , and prepared breakfast items.
The art on the wall is for sale. It depicts somewhat cliched representations of nature. The prices are what one would expect.

Oh my!
What a great place for a cup of coffee and a dessert.
The coffee is roasted locally and has a wonderful flavor. I'm drinking a cup as I write this. I am curious how I can get this down in The States without making a 7 hour drive.
I was able to visit with the chef who makes the pastry's, they are made on site and she does a gorgeous job.
DON'T miss this tucked away gem!

* I violated my rule *
I have a rule about cafes. If they are advertising any types of flavoured coffee drinks (you know anything involving lots of flavour syrups or blenders or sugary goop), I generally avoid ordering an espresso as they likely tend to not have much of a coffee focus since they frequently cover up their coffee with flavours.
For some reason walking into this cafe I ignore my rule even though they had all sorts of coconut flavoured coffees on offer. I should have stuck to my rule.
The espresso had lots of bubbles, and a very thin crema that was already dissipating around

The Beanery Coffee shop in summerland is a lot bigger on the inside than you would expect from external appearances. The coffee is organic and the gingersnap cookies are extra delicious when dipped in hot coffee. There are power outlets and wifi access and lots of gorgeous art on the walls. It's a fairly popular spot full of locals and tourists having lively conversation and enjoying a fresh-baked treat. A great place to stop and recharge in Summerland. (Free street parking, Free wifi, Outdoor Patio, + Toy Train!)

Very favourite coffee--organic, free trade AND masterfully roasted right here in Summerland! This is the coffee I brew at home. The cafe' is cozy, especially on winter days sitting in the fireplace area. There's also a sidewalk cafe' for summer days. Enjoy their vegetarian samosas, tiramisu, baked goods...
