I encourage comprehensive Eye Examinations regularly as part of your total health maintenance. Systemic conditions such as Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Hypertension, Macular Degeneration, and High Cholesterol can be detected early by an Optometrist, through a Comprehensive Eye Examination. Often enough in my clinic, before being diagnosed by your medical doctor.
We have an ongoing focus at Dornn Eye Care and optical gallery, to stay educated about current treatments that will empower our patients to address and manage their eye health concerns. We provide complete eye exams to detect visual and optical anomalies. We utilize advance technologies that help us diagnose and treat glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and Ocular Surface Disease.
Dr. Dornn graduated from the University of Manitoba with a honours degree in microbiology. He attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, graduating in 1997 with his Doctor of Optometry degree. He worked in Denver, Colorado until 1998 and returned to Winnipeg where he founded Dornn Eye Care.

I agree Dr dornn is thorough and professional. All the same not sure if I'm going back. Too much process. Too many steps, too many check ins, and too many charges. I waited 30 mins in the lobby to pick up contacts. That should have taken 2 minutes. He is great but it feels like too much time and production for my preferences.

This place is honestly THE BEST eye care place I’ve EVER been to! The staff are super friendly! They have a great selection of glasses, and they make me feel super comfortable/confident in my purchase! And one of the best parts is that I never have to wait long to make an appointment and get in to see either Doctor Dorann, or see his amazing staff for adjustments. Love coming here when I need help with my glasses

By far the best place in Winnipeg to go if you have a dry eye condition. They have great equipement to diagnose & Dr. Dornn is exceptional & really works with patients to help them understand the condition. I saw him back in the day & while he does do gland expressions, he does not do IPL which I've flown out to calgary for and have had pretty good success with. It would be nice if Dr. Dornn would bring that to Winnipeg...

Amazing doctor. I took my mom there for full eye exam and possible cataract surgery. In my mom's scenario, she did not have medical coverage since she was in Canada with visitor visa. Dr. Dornn was very kind and called different specialists for the cost of the surgery while we were waiting. He also explained thoroughly what was going on with one of her eye. I was impressed! I will recommend anybody going to him.
