Services
Our team specializes in Physiotherapy with a focus on Manual Therapy, IMS, Dry Needling, Acupuncture, Paediatric Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, and exercise rehabilitation. Our highly trained and experienced staff encompasses a network of disciplines who all share a common vision with an emphasis on teamwork.
Physiotherapists are university trained and are experts in injury diagnosis, injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport and health and fitness. The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, the physiotherapist will discuss their treatment plan for the rehabilitation process.
Arthritis is characterized by pain, aching stiffness and swelling in and around one joint or multiple joints. There are many different forms of arthritis that can involve the immune system and various internal organs. It is more common among adults over 65 years old, but people of all ages, including children can be affected.
Dry Needling is also known as myofascial trigger point dry needling or Tendinomuscular Acupuncture. It is a westernized approach to acupuncture. Dry needling involves the insertion of a fine stainless steel acupuncture needle directed into a specific trigger point or muscle banded area. The needle is inserted into the muscle for approximately one second and then removed.
Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) involves the insertion of a fine acupuncture needle into the body where muscles have been shortened or contracted. It is often problems at these areas where the root of long term pain comes from. In many instances pain results from no obvious cause and often perplexes the medical system on how to treat these scenarios.

Kelsey Brown is the best! Very knowledgeable and professional. Which I probably shouldn’t say here as it’ll make appointment booking even harder :) Great clinic, always clean and neat. Friendly stuff.

Great therapists, exercise focused with a good variety of appointment times. The dry needling is a unique for of therapy that helped me immediately. Both therapists have great hands on manual skills also. Being able to do exercises in the gym is helpful. Ashley is great providing booking and payments.

Excellent staff! Very knowledgable and helpful. I always walk away feeling so much better. I would highly recommend giving them a visit and also try dry needling. It's a life saver! I was having so much pain and trouble from a lower back injury that regular massage and physio therapy wasn't helping. After some rounds of dry needling my movement and pain had improved immensely.

I have seen 2 physiotherapists before I went to fort whyte. The difference being that the physio at fort whyte actually took time to read the recommendations my doctor wrote, did their own assessment to confirm, and focused on finding and treating the source of those problems rather than the symptoms (like the previous two had done).
I am grateful to have gone somewhere where the expertise matched the level of caring. I definitely felt like I was being taken care of as an individual, not being ushered through in a systematic way.

I saw Kelsey for a thoracic outlet issue this winter, and she was fantastic. Kelsey is a true professional, and passionate about what she does. You can tell immediately that she will put her very best effort into helping you on your road to recovery. She's a true student of this, always eager to learn more, a great listener, super friendly, and super smart, everything you would want in a physiotherapist!
The facility is clean, and inviting, and conveniently located. The gym setting is also ideal, as they have everything you need for the exercise they prescribe for your recovery.
