Spirit Rock Climbing Center provides an exciting, family friendly indoor climbing experience. Whether you're 5 or 55+, there's a climb here for you! Please wash/disinfect hands upon entering the facility and regularly throughout your visit. Kids Rock Holiday Camps are for kids aged 5-13, and focus on basic climbing skills, fun and games.
Services
Owners Ryan, Jim and Kevin had a vision of turning a vacant lot in Kimberley's Platzl into a great place for people to meet, build community and experience climbing. They wanted to provide a high quality, safe and fun place for all levels of climbers, to help shift climbing away from being a fringe sport for "crazy daredevils" and into the mainstream.
Once completed we will have your waiver on file so you won't have to do this every visit!. In B.C., a minor is anyone under the age of 19 years old and requires parental or guardian signature. Waivers can be completed when you arrive for your first climb. Or, to speed up the sign in process, download the appropriate waiver form (Adult or Minor), complete it in advance, and bring it with you on your first day at Spirit Rock Climbing Center.
No experience is required to climb at Spirit Rock. We have enough variety for beginner to have fun, and for experts to stay interested. We have three types of climbing, and most first time climbers usually stick to the bouldering and auto-belays. Bouldering is climbing low, short routes with no ropes.
Climbing is a fun activity that can be taken up, at any age. We have members from all athletic backgrounds, from 3 years old to over 80. Anyone can climb at Spirit Rock. No experience is required to climb at Spirit Rock. We can show you how to safely use our autobelays or bouldering wall in a few minutes.

A gym where people actually have fun instead of being super too competitive. Amazing staff; they will push you and will help you manage your own boundaries both on and off the wall. A must visit if you are staying in Kimberley. Most certainly one of the best places in the world to discover the awesome world of rock climbing.

I was thoroughly impressed with Spirit Rock! For such a small town, the gym is an excellent modern facility. Friendly staff and good route setting! They have autobelays, bouldering, and some cool features not normally found with indoor climbing such as a sweet stalactite feature leading into a full chimney section in the roof. I liked it so much I went back two nights in a row! Highly recommended if you're passing through Kimberley with your climbing gear. You won't be disappointed!

A great climbing gym for beginners and experienced climbers alike. It also has a bouldering area upstairs which is great. David was also excellent with the youth and getting them started with their harnesses and building their confidence on the ropes with heights and falling. Thank you David for your help.
