We offer a yacht management programme, guardianage, boat care and winter dry boat storage. I hit a rock in my 47 Bayliner going through False Passage in the summer of 2016, damaging my bow and both props. We were taking on water and the bilge pumps were not keeping up. I called the Coast Guard, and they arrived quickly and very professionally escorted me to Nanaimo, they had also called ahead to Stones Boatyard.

Very well managed facility.
They have hauled out, cleaned and painted the bottom of my sailboat for 10 years. Professional and helpful staff in both their boatyard and marine store. Nice people to work with.
Nick runs a very busy boatyard but it always seems clean and well organized. They have some well trained boat lift operators and Rob adds a glassy shine to my boat like no other.....
Stones also seem to be able to access a very good network of specialized repair technicians when I needed one.
I have also noticed they work hard to contain and handle waste in a responsible manner - good work

Had an emergency haul out on a Sunday, they had me out within an hr and possibly saved my boat from sinking. Very professional staff, with different specialties, Repairs were done right and we were on our way in a short time. Rates were fair for work done, haul out was one of the least expensive, with flat rate hull cleaning we really got our $$ worth.

I've been getting hauled here for six years now. Great staff and service, but it's not cheap. Everything is done first class, which I like, but if you're looking for low cost, I've heard Newcastle next door is cheaper. Stones have a full chandlerly, so if you're missing something you trot into the store and they put it on your bill.

We received exceptional service today from Rob Steele, Manager and Catherine in the office. Despite Rob’s very busy workload and a huge backlog, he offered to meet us on the service dock and try to help us out. He crawled into the engine compartment and with a skilled diagnosis and 1/2 hour of his time sorted out our engine issues and saved our holiday ! When we asked to compensate him for his expertise and time, he said not to worry. This kind and generous gesture was over the top and really appreciated, to say the least ! Thanks again :-)

We returned a VHF, STANDARD HORIZON radio to the chandlery today. The normal policy in such stores is NOT to accept electronics of this sort back again. When they saw the box was opened but nothing touched, they gave us FULL store credit we applied immediately to the purchase of THE VHF we should have bought the first time. The real kicker??? This VHF was purchased 11 months ago!!! NOW THAT IS 5 STAR SERVICE!

Beautiful clean place to work at. We use this yard a lot with Extreme Fiberglass Solutions. As we do repairs on Vessels and also work for the owners when ask to do so. They have a great Chandlerly store with almost all you need and also have other great options while at there boat yard. They are very fussy and like to keep the work stations you are using clean and dust free as much as possible. Also if you are missing something they will help you build covers for your job
