Our Practice is focused on family dentistry and we are passionate about allowing our patients the chance to get most of their dental care needs met in one location. This approach makes scheduling oral care easier and increases the chances of catching dental problems early. That's an important factor in getting the most cost-effective treatment over time.
In order to better serve you and your family's needs, Courtenay Dental has made it their goal to implement the newest technologies available in dentistry today. These advancements in technology allow our dentist's to make more accurate diagnoses and develop more comprehensive treatment plans. It also aids in the predictability of the treatment procedures.
A professional dental cleaning will be performed by one of our Registered Dental Hygienists. It is a growing colony of living bacteria, food debris, and saliva. These bacteria may cause an inflammatory response to the gums if not removed routinely and can lead to Gingivitis, or if left untreated, Periodontal disease.
If you experience any of the following dental emergency's, please contact us immediately. Please see general instructions for different dental emergencies below to follow until you see a dentist. Sometimes fractures are fairly painless, but if the crack extends down into the root, it is likely that the pain will be extreme.
Dentures are prosthetic teeth and gums that are applied in case of lost or removed teeth, gums or surrounding tissues. It may take several months for the patient to get used to their new teeth. During this time, the prosthesis may cause the patient to feel awkward and uncomfortable. It is normal to feel fullness or looseness in the mouth at first.

Polite, professional and courteous as always. Office consistently presents a calming environment. Excellent work by the Hygienist yet again. Most importantly though...they're ON TIME (and very unlike many businesses in the Comox Valley) they COMMUNICATE with the client. Can't stress enough client-communication being the most vital aspect to any business...that wants/needs to STAY in business.

This office is unlike any I have been to. Incredibly friendly staff, from desk to hygienist, and Dr. Adam is incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. He backs up his work and obviously passionate about service. We moved out of area but no way we would see anyone else. Do yourself a favour and book here! No one likes going to the dentist but I have to say I do!

Thank you so much to the staff that came to help me on their day off with my dental emergency. You made a horrible experience feel effortless and care free.
I knocked two of my teeth out of position and broke one in half. An hour later you wouldn’t have known! The doctor was able to put two of my teeth back in place and give me a temporary filling that looks perfect. I am so grateful to you ladies, not everyone would be willing to come in late on a Saturday to fix someone up the way you did. See you tomorrow! ♥ï¸

On the very day that I moved to Comox, the anchor tooth of my bridge broke off at the gumline, and the whole bridge collapsed. Yikes! I was so lucky to pick Courtenay Dental Health & Implant Centre from the online list of dentists. That was two years ago, and Dr. Marika Arnold and Dr. Tasso Irinakis have given me the best dental and periodontal care of my whole life. AND they are lovely, and interested in me, and fun. And the whole staff is wonderful. I feel so welcomed and cared about. Dentist appointments are GOOD DAYS. What a great place!
