The Gott-Hughton Irish Dance Academy was founded in 2017 with the purpose of fostering competitive excellence in the Calgary area. We offer a fun, enriching class environment where students build lasting friendships. Our unique approach includes studio, fitness and classroom sessions. We believe our greatest strength is our team-oriented approach, which brings positive energy, school spirit, and intensity into every lesson.

Our talented head instructors are WORLD CHAMPION Ian Gott, TCRG and Elspeth Hughton, TCRG. They have reached the highest levels of competitive and professional dance, and know what it takes to reach your goals and aspirations. Whether you seek to be the next world champion, or just the best Irish dancer you can be, this is the school for you.

My daughter and my son have been attending this school for just over a year now, and it is the best Irish dance school they have ever been with! They've grown so much in their abilities and in their self-confidence in their dancing and their personal lives. The teachers are incredibly supportive and caring for their students. They have also done an amazing job on creating a positive team atmosphere!

You won't find the quality and level of instruction, choreography, and fitness that you get at Gott-Hughton Irish Dance Academy anywhere else in the city. This dance school is by far the best of the best. The support all the coaches provide their dancers is beyond amazing! The coaches focus on each dancers' needs individually while also bringing in such an amazing team atmosphere. I've never felt so at home at any other dance studio like I do at Gott-Hughton Irish Dance Academy.
