Early in his career, our founder, Mr Dino Accettone, felt the need to provide a personalized, meaningful commitment to the families of Durham. In early 1989, construction of the Accettone Funeral Home Ltd. began. Later that summer Dino, along with his family, was able to realize their dream: Family serving families.
We are a fully licensed funeral home capable of handling all aspects of the funeral service process. Our facilities can host post-service receptions for up to 50 people and are happy to work with your caterers to handle arrangements. Our chapel can comfortably hold up to 125 people with an overflow room and optional screen for additional observers.

We are so grateful and thankful for the experience that we encountered at Accettone Funeral Home. From the first phone call to the last moment at the burial, the service and professionalism was beyond expectations. It's such a difficult time they helped us get through each day. Answered all the calls and anytime, all our emails, and allowed us to mourn in the space as a family without being over our shoulders. Dino, Maryann and Brad are all stars! They know their stuff and really makes things at ease. It's a one stop shop and again the customer service was excellent. We would highly recommend this

Once again my family will use the kind and compassionate services of Dino Accettone. This truly is a family run operation and you are made to feel like part of that wonderful family. Why anyone would use the services of corporate funeral homes (who own cemeteries and certainly push their extended services) is beyond me. Their care and attention to the smallest of details is amazing. My mother in law is in their care now. They have attended to my father in law and husband in the past. Thank you from my entire family

Pretty horrific. Can't remember the name of the tall blonde beauty who worked as a funeral director. But I'll never forget the way she bullied me when I first arrived on the premises following the death of my husband. I will never forget the way she screamed at me in the cemetery when I told her I wanted to bring his ashes home with me. My experience with her, and Acetone Funeral Home left me in even deeper shock and heralded ten plus years of post traumatic stress thereafter. I might still sue. There's still time.

So happy I called, them, I was given info by other people to call their goto guy. I thought this was weird. I know people don't shop around at this point in life but once i reached Acetone funeral home, they took all the weight off of our families shoulders. I expected this comfort to be merged into the bill but it was not. Our deceased wishes were followed to plan and came well under costs that were calculated by neighboring funeral companies. the estate saved thousands as our deceased requested and we were glad to respect our deceased wishes thanks to Acetone Funeral Home.
