As a family owned and operated practice founded in 2006, we've been providing eye care services to Chestermere families for over 13 years! Our focus has always been on providing holistic eye care that properly considers your needs, health, and lifestyle.
With the Alberta Association of Optometrists, and other leading optometric organizations, recommending annual eye exams for healthy Canadian adults & seniors, we can't stress the importance of an eye exams enough. As we get older, we have to focus a little more on maintaining our physical well being than we did in our youth.
There are plenty of reasons why children's eye exams are incredibly important, particularly in their early years. One is that if they experience any problems with their vision, they may not be capable of telling anyone about it, or perhaps they will consider their impairment normal - after all, they don't have any frame of reference telling them otherwise!
People with diabetes are much more susceptible to eye diseases which, if left untreated, can lead to permanent vision loss. Diabetic eye exams include all of the usual tests and assessments performed during a comprehensive eye exam, but then go into more depth regarding diabetes-specific diseases. Diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema (DME) may be present even before showing any symptoms; this is what we look for during your exam.

I’ve been to numerous stores in Calgary for eye exams and prescription glasses and Chestermere Optometry is by far the best. The initial testing before the examination was done thoroughly and efficiently, the optometrist was very professional, and the front end staff were very knowledgeable about their product. This is a well run store with good staff, prices and a wide selection of frames.

We've honestly tried to love this clinic, especially for it's convenience and proximity to home. Two years in a row we've picked out frames with an associate (associate A), all to have another one tell us they're too large. This was even after we had ordered glasses and received them last year. We've also had my son's glasses adjusted by associate A twice, and each time we have to go back and have them adjusted again by someone else because they're falling off his face and are essentially unwearable. Today is no different, but unfortunately they can't get him an appointment to re-adjust them for

Dr. Sanchez takes great care in seeing her patients! This 5 star rating is based on my first visit at Chestermere Optometry.
It was 4-5 years since my last eye exam at another clinic and a visit to Chestermere Optometry was so thorough that it really drove home the importance of having routine eye exams (I even ended up applying for a job there a year later). They also offer vision therapy services which I had no idea even existed!
My prescription was a -5.50 with some astigmatism in both eyes and the staff members explained the difference in lens quality and features. Staff are honest about

Excellent. I was very impressed with the knowledge of the optometrist that saw me and very happy with the pace of the visit. I was seen promptly, the exam was thorough and the support staff were friendly and efficient. I appreciated having my benifits put through immediately and am grateful to the the kind receptionists that helped process my contact lense rebate. I would recommend this practice to anyone!

I was welcomed when I came into the office. The women who gave me the initial eye exam was friendly and thorough. Then, Dr. Sanchez was excellent, very knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions during the eye exam. Also, I had great advice on picking a new pair of glasses. Overall I enjoyed my experience here and highly recommend Chestmere Optometry.
