We specialize in Custom Made Orthotics, Build Ups, Therapeutic Footwear and Met Pads. All of these services require an appointment and a prescription from a healthcare provider. We require a prescription for custom made orthotics, build ups, orthopedic shoes and met pads. Having a prescription from a healthcare professional protects you. We are following a Doctors prescription that is dated before the appointment. In most cases your doctor or other health care professional can give you a prescription for all of our services.
We do not use a computer scan to make our orthotics. You will receive a custom assessment by our Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist or Pedorthist. We can modify our generic sole footbed orthotics for a fee and they are a final sale. Since our orthotics are made on site there usually is 2 weeks turn around time to get them made.

I took my mother in law here to get fitted for some shoes. Initially her appointment was with Len and he was fantastic with her. He was knowledgeable about the issues facing her with her shoes and very helpful in going through the dozens of pairs of shoes she was looking at. My mother and I came to the Soul Experience store for the first time today. My Mom has several foot issues, and trying to find footwear for her is always a challenge. The entire staff were patient, very helpful, and we finally found a pair of boots that were comfortable for her. This is definitely the place that we will be coming to in the future for any type of shoe, sandal, runners or boots, that she may require. It was great first time experience!!! Love this store! They have a wonderful selection of top brand shoes to fit anyone and everyone. Their staff go above and beyond to make sure that you are getting the best fitting shoes no matter how many trips to the back it takes and how many boxes are piled around you...... Sole Experience is still limiting capacity. I parked in their back lot and snuck my Mom in through the warehouse door.
She has mobility issues.
They were super nice to her and helped her right away.
Very patient and understanding.
They got her on her way with a new pair of runners and explained the return policy.

We went to look for a walking shoe for my wife, who is a highly discerning shopper especially when it comes to shoes. We were served by Adrian. His patience and knowledge of shoes were just outstanding. He explained the pros and cons of every pair in detail and never pushed a sale. My wife came away totally satisfied with her new pair of Merrell. i will give Adrian a 10 out of 5(!) and I wish the young man the very best.

My first visit was in 2018. They were able to provide me with very stylish and comfortable ladies shoes. They carry extra white shoes that fit me very very well. I would recommend them to anyone that has difficulty finding shoes that fit properly. Their staff are extremely knowledgable and very very helpful.

Today my son and I spent over 2 hours in store trying to find shoes for his 6E wide feet. I was blown away with happiness when we walked out with 2 pairs!!! I have several issues with my feet including falling arch’s, planter fasciitis and gout. Needless to say my feet ache and a good shoe and orthotics are key. I have had terrible luck finding comfortable shoes and my sister told me about Sole Experience. Tammy served me with superior product knowledge and personalized service to ensure my choices were best for my needs. Thank goodness for this awesome store! They carry all the unusual sizes for those of us who need them. (How many feet are actually 'normal' anyway?) The wonderful gal who served me (sorry I didn't get her name) fit me perfectly, explaining why the shoe size I thought I needed was not healthy for my feet and put me in a size that is so-o-o comfortable.
She also found me boots that adjust perfectly for my sometimes swollen feet, are attractive, and have a good sole making me safe on our winter walkways.
And then! - then, she carried my packages to my car for me so I could concentrate

I have bunions on both feet and long ago lost confidence that any stores in Edmonton had shoes that I could wear without weeks of painful breaking them in. Even when my sister told me she had found a store that might have shoes that would work for me, I didn't hold out much hope. I was definitely going to check it out as my last pair of shoes were very much worn and I knew they were reaching the end of their usefulness and I didn't know what I was going to do to find my next pair. I needed a specific pair of shoes that I can only find in a few places in town, and to discuss a different brand that would provide the same support for my fallen arch. I was in the area and decided to try them myself even though my sister in law didn't have a good experience.
I'm pleased that my experience was a completely different one! I was approached almost immediately and the customer service rep knew her stuff. She understood my needs better than I do :). I was very impressed with how she helped me out even though I may have went in there with a chip on my shoulder.

I always like to support a local independent business, so when I needed a good pair of winter boots I went here first. Sole Experience may not have the largest selection of boots, but you can be assured that everything they carry is really good quality. I found the perfect pair of boots at a good price --but the right boot fit slightly too tight. So the lady helping me took it to the back and had it stretched until it was a perfect fit! I really appreciate that the staff went the extra mile for me, and will definitely be coming back.

I came here specifically looking for work shoes one day with a friend after finding them online. When I tried to show her what I was looking for, she hurriedly glared at me and told me she is not a doctor and therefore, cannot help me. It wasn't a very specific medical question, I just wanted to know what she could suggest that had a larger toe box. I tried again to ask for some suggestions, and she spoke to me in a very condescending manner. My friend sat to the side and when I came over, she was appalled at the way I was spoken to. I've actually bought 4 of the last 5 pairs of shoes that I've purchased this year here. Part of the reason I've purchased so many shoes this year is that I've worn a considerable number of shoes out lately. I get great service from Maria when I go there, and even when they have sales (that may be at other geographic locations) I don't mind searching the store for a pair of shoes that would be adequately awesome for my needs because I know that they only sell GOOD QUALITY shoes that will be mostly comfortable for my feet.

Recently, I injured my ankle. And after numerous trips to the doctor and the physiotherapist, we discovered that the cause of the injury was repeated strain on the ankle caused by poor mechanics of my feet. I needed good orthotics. The prescription ones "custom-made" by a podiatrist just didn't cut it. I needed to have some made by a certified pedorthist. I love my Birkenstocks, and when I needed a new pair I went to Sole Experience based on the feedback of friends. As soon as I walked through the door I noticed the huge selection of sandals, dress shoes, even flip flops for men and women and from a variety of different brands. The selection of Birkenstocks was the largest I have ever seen anywhere, and they had the style and colour and size I was looking for - at other places I was lucky if I could do two out of three. The customer service was excellent - I had three different staff helping me out to make sure the pair I got was perfect for me
