Services
Subterranean termites can be found in many locations throught Southern Ontario. Termites live in colonies in the soil and travel through the soil, in wood or shelter tubes. In colour and size they resemble a grain of rice. The damage caused by termites are usually not noticeable on the surface as termites avoid exposure to the air.
Vermiculite was a popular insulating material produced by U.S. based W.R. Grace and sold by the tradename ''ZONOLITE''. It was used in thousands of Canadian homes primarily as attic insulation. Vermiculite was called the miracle material, once heated it was used for potting soil, fireproofing and insulation.
What is Asbestos? Asbestos is a mineral fibre. In the past asbestos was added to a variety of materials to strengthen them and to provide heat insulation and fire resistance. It has been called 'the miracle material'. What health problems are associated with exposure to Asbestos? Asbestos poses health risks only when fibres are present in the air that people breath.
