Services
Baker Street Home Inspection Services Inc. has been in business since 1985, conducting over 50,000 home inspections. Following the initial inspection, we will always guarantee you continued excellent service. We want you to become a member of our family of happy clients! We serve the Greater Toronto Area from Oakville to the West, Newmarket to the North and Oshawa to the East.
Every Baker Street inspection is performed within the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors. This is your assurance that our inspectors have the knowledge, experience and technical expertise to make a thorough visual assessment of your home. It ensures fairness and impartiality to all parties involved in a real estate transaction.
We get questions like these all the time! Here at Baker Street we treat you like family. This means we always give great service and provide you with solutions - not only point out the deficiencies. That's why, with our partner company RenoLogic, we have created an Estimating Guide which will give you, the home owner, a better idea of how much things cost!
The objective of the home inspection is to provide the client with a better understanding of the house. It may dispel many of the anxieties held by the average purchaser. The inspection is more of an educational seminar than a negative critique of your home. The inspector will review the functional aspects of your home: (i.e.) all exterior elements, the structure, the heating, plumbing and electrical systems.
Scientists now know that over a long period of time, exposure to even low levels of lead can affect the development of a childs nervous system. If you or your family are experiencing recurring flue like symptoms you may wish to consult your doctor and have your home tested for lead contaminants. If you would like to know for sure whether lead is contained in the paint, samples can be tested with a home test kit and sent to a certified laboratory.
