Our housekeeping cottages are accessible by water only. They have been built for maximum privacy on islands, sandy beaches and peninsulas here on Dog Lake. To experience something similar, you would have to book with a fly in lodge which would cost you significant time, money and trouble to fly into a small lake where you are at the mercy of a pilot's abilities to transport you in & out in varied weather conditions.

Our cottages, located at strategic points along the shore of the lake, are conveniently placed for fishing. With its many arms and bays, Dog Lake covers over 13,000 acres and has a shoreline of 120 miles packed into only a few miles of travel. These bays, that see limited fishing pressure throughout the year, have the greatest variety of game fish in Northern Ontario.
If I rent a boat from you, do I require special documentation stating I am qualified to operate it?. You can apply through a Canadian Consulate or certain border crossings to have your record examined by immigration officials. There is a non-refundable administration fee that is usually $200 Canadian.
Wilfred, Alice and Charles Sheshequin offer the best package we could ever hope for and cover that which we cannot bring along with us, including fishing licences, freezers, bait, docking privileges, a general store with a good selection of supplies, and many more conveniences. Whilst allowing their guests privacy and comfort, the Sheshequins will anticipate all and any requirements, both before and during our stay.
