Services
Whether you need a one time service or regular maintenance for the season, we can accommodate. Whenever appropriate we recommend mulch mowing. The tiny clippings left behind won't be an eye sore but a natural fertilizer instead. It also reduces waste going to the dump. Most common is a weekly service.
Our weekly lawn mowing service is scheduled weekly from May - September up to 5 times per month, depending on weather and growing conditions and maintained at a height of 2.5 - 3.5 inches. The final cut in October will be at 2 inches. String trimming is included and done in tight spaces, around trees, obstacles, fences etc to match height of lawn.
Some lawns thin out after a few years showing bare soil or patchy lawns, requiring a lawn renovation or the need of a complete new install. Over time a lawn may become thin or has a high percentage of weeds. Here it's a good idea to topdress and overseed. Topdressing is the spreading of a thin layer of either topsoil or a compost mix onto the lawn.
De-thatching, or commonly called as power raking, is best done in spring to pull out dead organic matter in your lawn. A thatch layer of up to 0.5 inches is actually beneficial to keep your lawn in good shape as it will help protecting the grass roots from direct sunlight and the harsh elements. Power raking done too late in the season can actually harm your lawn unless you're planning on a lawn renovation project.
Give your yard a head start with a professional spring cleanup. Allow your lawn the ability to breathe again and tidy up your yard. This is a great way getting over "Spring Fever" and is typically scheduled in April and May after snow melt and ground has thawed out. Our aeration, power raking and edging equipment is sterilized after each yard to minimize potential of lawn disease cross contamination.
