I found Leon's Boot through Google search, read reviews and decided to turn to Leon for help with a pair of leather dance practice shoes. Due to extensive practicing the shoes were worn into holes and were, as I thought, beyond repair. I left them with Leon having no expectations. Leon called me in two days and let me know that shoes are ready.

If your boots are too wide, or they are too wide around the shaft, Leon's Boot Alterations will narrow them down for a perfect fit. We typically see this problem with skinny women, women with narrow calves or with women that have bought boots that are too wide. Frequently, their solution to the problem is to tuck their pants into their boots to try and make them look "better."
We recommend that boots always be at least three fingers below the knee level so that when you walk, you walk with comfort. For boots that are specifically designed to be above the knee, be sure to purchase ones that have an elastic material or you will have a hard time wearing them for an extended period of time.

I can’t say enough good things about Leon’s shoe repair shop. My boots were too wide and had a very noticeable gap at the top of the shaft. I looked all over my area for someone to narrow them. I've had my eye on a certain tall boot for years (no joke)- but the boot is made for those with the perfect 14 inch calf. I found a used pair as they are no longer being made, and took the chance and purchased! I found Leon's site by chance when googling and so glad I did! I sent the boots through Canada post to his shop to have them widened, and they were returned back to me within 4 or 5 days (and this was over the Christmas/New Years period). When I opened the box, I was amazed! It doesn't look like the boots were altered at all and they now fit perfect!!! below is a pic of the boot after showing

All I can say is - “PHENOMENAL”. I needed to alter a boot for a swollen foot after surgery. Leon opened the boot in 2 places and installed velcro for easy on and off. The boot is finished in a way that you would never guess it has been altered. It totally looks factory-made. Great taste and great hands!!!

Awesome! Leon promised he would be able to stretch my equestrian tall boots, even though another 2 places couldn't. They are PERFECT!! My zippers also wouldn't stay up; new zipper pulls addressed that. YOU DON'T NEED NEW ZIPPERS! He also replaced 2 gussets I had cut 🙃. I was considering new boots, as I thought the cost of repairs would outweigh their worth. Trust me, Leon's quality of workmanship and pricing are impeccable! For many years, I have always struggled to find tall horseback riding boots to fit my short wide calf. After a long search, I recently found and purchased a pair of “wide” boots, only to discover they were too wide. This was so disappointing. I am so glad I found Leon's boot alterations service. I brought in my 2 pairs of knee high boots because they were too wide in the calves. He narrowed them and they are more fitted now. Leon's workmanship is professional and reasonable price and he is pleasant and professional. I plan to wear them with dresses/skirts. Not sure if I can wear with my jeggings though as they are a snug fit. I plan to bring in my other shoes for repair in the future. I highly recommend Leon's boot alterations.

I went to Leon’s based on the reviews alone and I’m so glad I did which is why I feel compelled to share this review. Leon simply performs miracles. I have thick calves and always struggle with knee high boots. I had a brand new pair of boots that I couldn’t wear since they wouldn’t zip up. Leon was able to modify my boots so they not only fit amazingly but looked beautiful too. In addition, he was about to modify a pair of shoes that were slipping off my feet. I am so happy and would absolutely recommend Leon’s services.

Great communication by email, Leon by far exceeded my expectations! Very affordable, A true craftsman. Very friendly and professional. I stopped in Vaughn to see Leon on a trip overnight to Toronto. Early the next morning, on my way out of the city, he called, hoping to catch me before i left for he had already completed the alteration! Unfortunately i had already gone, so he promptly shipped them to me, as we had arranged. I will definitely be using his services again and recommending him to my friends

I cannot express enough how thankful I am for the alterations Leon made to my boots. Along with his attention to detail, he was kind, respectful, and professional. I drove all the way from Burlington to have my boots repaired by him and will continue to only have Leon repair my boots and shoes.

Great service and fine attention to detail every time. Leon has fixed a few leather coats and zipup jackets for our family. Also fixed my Uggs winter, leather, booths and Aldo rain shoes. I am very impressed with Leons work! I have skinny calves and have always had a hard time finding boots that fit me as they are always too loose on me. Thankfully after discovering Leon's Boot Alterations I feel like I have striked gold! I have gotten at least 6 boots custom altered by them throughout the years and they always look spectacular. Would definately reccomend!
