Many New Home Owners Miss the deadline for their 1 and 2 year home warranty and therefore lose out on the coverage they have paid for.
The inspector is prompt, thorough, with state of the art equipment and finally gives you a detailed report with photos of any concerns by the end of the same day. We had Dennis of Discovery Home Inspections do our home inspection and we were thoroughly impressed with his knowledge of the home. He not only showed us where we could improve our home he also suggested ways of doing it.
You may want to include an inspection clause in the offer when negotiating for a home. An inspection clause gives you an "out" on buying the house if serious problems are found or it can give you the ability to renegotiate the purchase price if repairs are needed. An inspection clause can also specify that the seller must fix the problem(s) before you purchase the house.
Thermal Imaging is part of every Inspection that we perform. This is very important to help detect what is behind your walls and to see what your eyes cannot see because some problems are hidden from your eyes and can only be detected by temperature that only Thermal imaging can detect without dismantling every wall and floor.

I have used Dennis from Discovery Home Inspections several times for home inspections. This guy is a wealth of knowledge and is the best home inspector that I have used. Dennis came recommended from my realtor and did not disappoint. He knows the Bowmanville area very well and taught me a thing or two about the new neighborhood my spouse and I were moving into. We needed a very last minute home inspection to meet the conditions of an offer on our dream home. With very short notice Dennis made himself available to complete the inspection within the required 24 hour time frame of the offer. Dennis Moore arrived on time and took us around the outside, then the inside, pointing out things as we went and answering all our questions. Then prepped his report, went through that, gave us a thumbdrive for reference. Let us know which things should be looked after first. He also offered his time for follow up questions and a list of competent techs in the area. Courteous and friendly. I would recommend Dennis.

I am a home owner and my buyers hired him to inspect my home. He had a 1pm appointment but showed up early and without notice, permission, or any legal right entered my property. This is illegal entry into private property and trespass. I was in my home and shocked to find a man in my back yard at my window. He was not only unethical but rude. I've hired a number of home inspectors and they do not enter the property until the appointment time - don't hire this man! I almost cancelled the deal with the buyers who came an apologized profusely for his illegal behaviour

Dennis was very thorough. He’s was kind & genuine. He was very detailed in his inspection, offered suggestions and gave us a very useful report.
