I asked for a statement of my premiums that I paid from 2013-currently as I realized I hadn't kept the yearly statements for tax purposes. I was told for some reason that I needed to be either audited by the CRA, or have a letter from the CRA asking for the statements for years 2013-2016. I don't understand why I'm not able to have access to that information, if I paid my premiums on time, and they should have the records on hand. I also don't understand why I need to wait until the CRA comes after me to have that information, rather than on a pre-emptive basis.

I was with Tony for the better part of 15 years, and only recall one instance after signing on where I actually was graced with his presence/direct correspondence. After ever increasing premiums (which I’ve now come to know as typical of State Farm/Desjardins), and only one at-fault claim over 5 years ago, I reached out and asked what could be done to lower them (rental and auto). The response from his team was I could install an app to assess my driving, or “If you got married, it can also save you some money.”
Fortunately, I live in the 21st century, and switched providers.

We had 3 home and 2 auto insurance with them (previously Statefarm) for the cheap price. However, the staff are unprofessional and rude and I had terrible experience with them multiple times recently. We've switched one of the auto insurance to other places and will move the rest as well. Avoid this place as best as you can!

Tony should lose his license to sell insurance for lying to all his customers and not fulfilling his obligations to work honestly. State Farm agents are notorious for making it complicated for existing customers to cancel and they also don't insure you properly with the right coverage based on their own underwriting rules. Unfortunately no one will ever know until something happens with a claim and you will probably be challenged on it when you find out.

When I had a claim it was handled promptly and fairly. His staff is cooperative and courteous. He made me feel like family and I would highly recommend him.
