Horribly trained staff that fail to listen or acknowledge someone's experience and offer no relevant support for any complex intersectional issues but only cookie cutter solutions that don't address the core issues. A perfect example of our underfunded and inadequate mental health system that becomes another obstacle for people needing help.

Closing a child’s file without confirming with the parents is unacceptable. Especially if the child requires an ongoing care. Directing to go back to the family doctor doesn’t make sense. My child doesn’t need a family doctor she needs professional psychiatric or psychological care and therapy. Especially if my family doctor cannot confirm with me… whether the health unit will be getting a child psychologist or not or if there is one, whether this particular psychologist will be able to accommodate my child’s needs. There are hardly resources to support mental health
