Karin is a 2200 hour Registered Massage Therapy graduate from Alberta Massage Training. She is trained in relaxation, deep tissue, prenatal, hot stone massage as well as craniosacral therapy. When she is not doing office work for the spa, she loves doing massage to make her clients feel better.

If you book a massage with a 2200hr Registered Massage Therapist, we are happy to provide direct billing services to most major insurance providers. We ask that you arrive a minimum of 10 minutes early prior to your first massage appointment to allow yourself time to complete the paperwork necessary for direct billing.
This massage is the ultimate in relaxation. The Registered Massage Therapist will warm up the tissues using smooth gliding strokes to assist you in total relaxation. Relaxation massage utilizes many of the same broad, firm strokes that are practiced in other massage techniques to work the muscles gently.

If you want a massage and come home smelling like mildew. This place is for you. After so many times telling them that the oil they use smells like mildew and them continuing not to care..I finally decided to write a review. Tired of it. Time to find a new place that cares.
To management: This review is written based on my wife and son's experience. Everytime they came home they smelled because of the oil you use. She had mentioned this repeatedly to management and nothing was done.

Too bad the receptionists are responsible for our appointments & not the massage therapists themselves. I have been a loyal customer for years, even referring friends & co-workers to this business as Pam & Anong are amazing at what they do! However, the receptionists should be fired for their lack of professionalism & disrespect & fraud towards their clients. I pre-booked my appointment 6 days in advance online, even receiving both a text & email confirming the time 2 hours prior. Turns out that the receptionists changed my appointment time without my consent, therefore cutting my massage short

I called to schedule a massage in light of year-end benefits expiring. The receptionist slotted me in for the next day (Saturday), near end of day.
Upon arrival to appointment, I learned my appointment was actually scheduled for Sunday, so my commute was for naught.
Really disappointed by the disorganization and lack of sympathy from the front staff regarding the matter, especially since I’ve been coming here biweekly - monthly. An apology would’ve been appreciated.

I really wanted to like this place since I’m looking for a new Waxer in a new city and the reviews for here looked great. Booking was super easy online and I got in quickly. My Waxer was nice enough and made me comfortable at the beginning. She asked if the wax was an okay temperature, at the beginning it was totally fine but as the wax went on it got hotter and hotter. I brought it to her attention but nothing was down to help cool down the wax (even as we were getting to more intimate areas). Super friendly staff. I've been here three times now and have always been greeted pleasantly and found the service to be fantastic. I do recommend their services. I have gone for face waxing and hair removal so far. I would be trying other services down the road as the need comes up as well. Good, clean place, which is especially appreciated in covid times.

Took my mom for a massage as she's been having lots of lower back pain. My mom has gone for many massage treatments but by far it has been the best for her. She was booked with the massage therapist, Maridy, and she greeted her with such smile and made her feel very welcomed. She made sure that my mom was comfortable in every way and checked with her regularly to see if the pressure was good or if she was in pain. The room was super clean and the atmosphere was so cozy and relaxing! We will definitely come back and highly recommend the therapist!!

I had my very first mani pedi yesterday at Serene escapes. Nicole was wonderful! It exceeded all my expectations. Everyone there was so friendly and nice and made sure that I had coffee or tea or water. I felt like a princess! Besides the great service the workmanship was Flawless. I'm going to enjoy my new toes and nails for weeks to come.

I've been to this place 3 times and always the same service but all three times with someone different providing the service. Only because after the 1st time, the girl didn't work there anymore and I thought I would try someone different at Serene.
The service is a lash lift and tint. The results were great the first time, however the last two times, I wasn't overly impressed.I thought maybe it was just the 2nd time or the tech and would try again with someone else, but that didn't help. The girls who did my lashes are nice and friendly, it's the service the 2nd and 3rd

I booked with Shiho based on a review and I was not disappointed -I booked the 90 min Relaxation Massage. She is an amazing therapist and checked at various points throughout the massage if the pressure was satisfactory which was great as most therapists only check in the beginning. Her technique was unique and really helped to reduce the tension in my shoulders and back.
That spa itself is clean and welcoming. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I have booked another appointment in 2 weeks

I went for a therapeutic massage here and it was great. What I appreciate the most is the girl does exactly 60mins not including change time. She asked how the pressure was and used hot towels throughout the massage to wipe off at excess massage oil. Sh also used peppermint oil which was a nice touch. $90/60min which seems like standard pricing. They also do direct billing! I would definitely return!

The staff here are absolutely lovely! The women at the front are always friendly and cheerful and so far all of my appointments have been on time. I usually go for an eyebrow wax and eyelash/eyebrow tint and I've never been disappointed. Today I had a massage with Shiho and it was soooo relaxing! She was very skilled and let me relax, only checking in with the pressure. I had a few sensitive spots and she checked in while going over them. I left feeling so much better than when I came in and I can't wait to go back!

I had the privilege of spending an entire day at the spa, and was able to take advantage of several of their services. I was so impressed with every single service, and every single staff member. I was so happy with the results, and felt like a princess when I left. The staff was a huge part of the experience, they were incredibly friendly, easy to talk to, knowledgable, and genuinely concerned about their clients. You would be crazy not to check this place out!!!!

Also, based on the other positive reviews, I do believe the experience will majorly differ from which massage therapist you get. I happened to have gotten a beyond terrible experience as my therapist (Cheryl S) was flat out horrible. I went for a 90 minute therapeutic massage. You fill out a form beforehand to state what 'special instructions/requests' you have and I put down 'shoulder tension and lower back pain'. This therapist did not touch my shoulders and seemed like she had

Authentic Thai Massage done by Janthira, who runs their own family business in Bangkok that does the same type of massage in her native land (Thailand). Please be warned that the massage involves extreme back, arms, neck and knee stretching that might be hazardous to one's health. Please make sure to consult with your doctor first before undergoing through this type of therapy. During massage, please inform the therapist of your tolerable muscle pressure as well.

This spa has been my "go-to" for waxing, pedicures and facials. Staff members take the time to ensure that you are comfortable and well taken care of. The atmosphere is peaceful and clean. The monthly specials are very reasonable and I have even been contacted personally when a special is on that they know I would enjoy!
Serene escapes staff always does an excellent job of explaining their services and only use high quality products. I find that it is their goal to ensure the customer is happy when they leave and you never feel rushed through your spa experience.
