We are Ozzie & Caroline and we opened La Porto A Casa in 2005. Our original idea was take home food. We had fridges full of take home sauces and fresh pasta, hence the name La Porto A Casa which means "Bring It Home".
The feedback was strong and everyone wanted a great, welcoming atmosphere to dine in so after 6 months, the fridges disappeared and the eat in restaurant took over. We still do a lot of take out but now have as many regular take out customers as we do dine in. Our menu has something for everyone and our team is committed to delivering great food and great service to our customers old and new.

I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed my takeout dinner from La Porto A Casa located on Fallowfield Road in Barrhaven. It was my birthday dinner & my daughter & son -in-law picked it up & gifted it to me. I had the Linguine Pescatore and it was fabulous. Enough for two meals. I also had their Caesar salad which was also delicious. Thank you thank you for this awesome dinner. Looking forward to dining in again soon. But in the meantime will continue with the takeout.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal with mom and sis tonight. Appetizers, mains, dessert and of course the wine were all delicious. 😋 The tables are spaced out safely and all cv19 precautions have been take. We were very… comfortable thanks to Amy our server whose personality shone through despite the mask she must wear. 😷 We will be back ! Thank you ! ❤️

So happy to dine in at our favourite restaurant for the first time in 137 days!!! Delicious as ever, we sure have missed everyone and are very happy to resume our weekly standing reservation. They have taken every precaution to provide a safe and welcoming dining experience. If you have never had the good fortune of trying their authentic Italian fare, you don’t know what you are missing!
