Best sushi in Ottawa! So fresh and flavourful. Their Preston roll and sushi pizza can’t be beat!

Not the cheapest for sure, but with sushi you definitely get what you pay for. Service was excellent - they were attentive but not in your face, food was delicious, and the patio surrounding was beautiful. Thank you!! ❤️

The BEST sushi in town.
Can’t find words to describe how delicious it is. After biting it, it instantly melts in the mouth and gives this soft and slightly chewy feel. I love how it was also brushed with the perfect amount of soy sauce. I also love how there was a perfect amount of wasabi. What I found about restaurants serving sushi’s is that they tend to put too much wasabi/horseradish. I love how there was a perfect amount of wasabi in it. The wasabi compliments it, heightening the flavour. Love the pizza sushi <3 <3 <3
The customer service was great and gave me some recommendations on

The food itself was pretty good. The portions tho were super disappointing. I thought I had ordered a feast, until I got there and saw the two small packages they handed me. For $80 bucks I expected more.

Ordered on Uber eats, and overall was fairly disappointed. Mostly with the portion for the price.
4 pieces of chicken with no sauce or dip for $9 is...okay. $10 for 2 small spring rolls that had been cut in half is absurd. $23.50 for the sushi feels a little steep.
In terms of quality, the spring rolls were tasty, but nothing special. The chicken was flavourful and juicy, but it needed some sauce or dip that was lacking. The sushi, I found the pieces were very thin, far thinner than most sushi I get. The flavour was okay, but they were poorly constructed and almost all fell apart as soon as I

I am from Toronto and based on the reviews I was expecting a decent sushi with fair price. Unfortunately non of my assumptions came to be true. I believe the salmon was not fresh and portions were quite small for the price. three starts because drinks were fine and the service was good. I would probably never visit this place again for the quality of the salmon and pricy food.

- fresh, tasty, yummy food
- my sashimi was especially mighty tasty
- there was a generous amount of wasabi & yellow picked ginger

Super good value for slightly above average quality sashimi. I got their $25 sashimi dinner (included 18 pieces of the chef's choice of fish, and a side of either salad or miso soup). My friend got their $17 sashimi salad which also was HUGE and had a different variety of sashimi too!

Best sushi in Ottawa hands down. Been going to Kiko for years and it never disappoints. Love the yam roll, the Hawaiian and many the others. The service is usually good, a few times we had to wait a very long time but it hasn’t been the case lately. If you want fresh sushi, Kiko is the place.

I've been trying to find a good quality sushi restaurant since our perennial favorite sushi restaurant, Wasabi, closed their doors.
For my first visit to Kiko, i am very happy.
Ordered their deliciously prepared raw oysters. Yum! A spicy scallop roll did not disappoint. And finding they had Gomae (Blanched spinach with sesame) on their menu was a most pleasant surprise!
The edamame was slightly over cooked, and a little plain, but still good. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back and I look forward to dining on their nice patio!

Top notch service. Very nice, friendly, professional customer service-oriented wait staff. Mainly because this is one of the few restaurants in Ottawa where they actually have enough staff to service the restaurant properly! Service was fast. Anytime you asked for something, you got it very quickly, whether it was a dish, some ice, cutlery or the bill.

Excellent Edamame and Spring Rolls to start. Edamame nice sweet flavour with just the right amount of salt on the bean pods. Spring rolls were small but tasty and crunchy. Had the Tempura and Beef Teriyaki main course. The Tempura included

I'd give this a (7.75/10). When we first arrived the restaurant was empty so we were greeted right away and brought to our table. The waiter checked on us 3 times whilst we were deciding on our order and then when we ordered the waiter was helpful in the description of each dish and answered my questions. However even though the restaurant was empty we had to wait quite some time (maybe ~20 mins) for even our appetizer and then another 10 for our main course although there wasn't anyone but us for most of that time. By the time our order came a few other groups of people came. Onto the food itself

The restaurant was almost empty, but we waited almost half an hour until the food was ready. And comparing to most sushi restaurant I visited before, this is overpriced. On the positive side, the food is fine, the place is clean and well decorated.

After a long morning at the office I started to crave some sushi. So I went to my local sushi bar on Preston street.
When I entered there was a friendly attendant who greeted me, I told her that I was interested in their lunch menu. I checked the whole menu, their prices were fair. I chose the bento box 1 (lunch special)..I probably waited less than 10min for my order to be completed. I took the chance to check out the restaurant.
It is extremely clean and elegantly decorated, the staff is very attentive of their customers. Great place to be! When I got to the office, I was blown away by the aesthetic

My friend and I always go back to Kiko, mainly because they do have a lot of vegetarian options for me. Also it's right in the middle of Little Italy which is where we like to hang out. My favorite gelato shop is across the sheet.

I like the interior design of the restaurant. It's very pretty, very clean. The staff is very friendly when you walk in and very accommodating.

For anyone who needs to be gluten free like I do (celiac disease), this place is GF-friendly. They can make most of their maki rolls gluten free. The only ones they cannot make gluten free are the ones that have

Visited Kiko for dinner a couple of weeks ago on a Friday evening. Nice looking place overall. Tried a number dishes including the beef tataki, the kraken (full squid), the chirashi don and the mango tango rolls. Overall, this was some of the best Japanese food I've had in Ottawa to date. That being said, the food is certainly a bit more expensive than other comparable places. The only real downside was the the service - although friendly, it took over an hour to receive our order - glad to say at least it was worth the wait!

The online pictures make this place look a lot fancier than it really is. In real life, it is a "fast food" style with modernesque decor.

Service was extremely slow. This complaint seems to be common with other reviewers, so I know this is a legitimate issue. Between arriving and the first dish arriving, it was an hour. There were only nine other customers in the restaurant so I don't know what they were doing.

One of the problems is that take out sushi orders seem to take precedence to customers in the restaurant. I saw some orders going out the door while I was waiting for

To start the sashimi and the Phillian Special roll were fantastic, fresh and very tasty.

But I am pretty disappointed with the service. The restaurant was almost empty, but it took a very long time to get my order. There were two take outs and one table with seven or eight people but other than that I was alone. I had to ask twice for water even though the waitress came by and asked how my food was (which, again, was fantastic) and looked at my empty water glass and walked away.

The food was a 4.5 to 5, but I can't go above a 3 with the staff and long wait.

Absolutely excellent! My go-to sushi place in Sushi Kan (all-you-can-eat) so this was a new experience for me, but what a huge difference in quality. I'm going to be starry-eyed about it for days.

Service was excellent, decor and ambiance too.

I've been craving Asian food but there aren't a lot of Asian people or cuisine in Ottawa. When I saw this place, I got very excited and walked in without thinking about anything! Well, the place had very pretty and colorful Asian-style decors. Also, the seats are very comfortable! Those cushions!! I could sit there all day!

I went around 1/1:30pm, so it was right after lunch time rush. Because there weren't many customers, the waitress was extra attentive and friendly. I was very thirsty and downed the glass of water very quickly, and she would come frequently to refill my glass

Sushi and wine snobs, take note! Kiko has fresh fish and $15 per bottle corkage.

The restaurant itself is spacious and modern. We were there on a Wednesday night and had the place to ourselves. The super fresh sushimi was the star of our meal. The two rolls (Cherry Blossom and Kiko Special) where good but nothing to write home about. If you care about wine, skip the uninspired wine list and bring your own.

Kiko is on my short list of restaurants to return to for a high quality casual meal. The tab for three was $100 plus tip and including corkage for two bottles.
