Brian Chatwin started Chatwin Engineering in 1982. He is recognized as a leader in BC's engineering and geosciences community, a trusted mentor to his staff, and a passionate advocate for the sustainable development of our island home. We see sustainable development, long-term client relationships, quality infrastructure, and a high-achieving, satisfied workforce in Chatwin Engineering's present and future.

Chatwin Engineering has excellent relationships with municipalities and regional districts. They trust us to bring visionary thinking to all aspects of municipal infrastructure. In the 1980s, Chatwin Engineering showed municipalities a glimpse of the future by providing computer models of water and sewer systems.
Brian received his Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of British Columbia. He founded Chatwin Engineering and developed it into a multi-disciplined company specializing in Civil Engineering, Planning, Environmental and Building Sciences. Throughout his career, Brian has been active in professional and community organizations.
Chatwin Engineering provided the solution by designing and building a state of the art sanitary sewer collection system, major sewer pumping station, sanitary sewer treatment facility, and a 2.2km outfall. Chatwin Engineering was retained by the Ehattesaht Tribe to start an investigation to determine ground water source potentials for a new potable water supply.
