More than six decades ago in 1943, W. J. "Bill" Robertson opened a general insurance agency in Toronto. In the early 50s Bill developed a love for boating and created the Skippers' Plan concept to provide boat insurance to Ontario boaters. Skippers' Plan grew as a family business over three generations under the brokerage name Robertson & Robertson Yacht Insurance.
All dependent children of members provided they reside with the individual and are 25 years of age or younger, or attending school or college. I called Cameron to ask about bundling discounts for multiple policies. He was incredibly rude and condescending on the phone for no reason. All he had to say was that they did not have this pricing model, instead he went out of his way to be dismissive. Highly recommend avoiding him as it's clear politeness and customer service are not his strong suit.

I was referred to this firm by the boat broker I bought my boat from and they responded to my request within hours. The quote was extremely reasonable. Within a day I had my approved policy in hand. Cameron was very responsive to every request and question. The boat buying process was quite challenging and drawn out ( partly due to COVID) and this was definitely a bright light in the process. With some luck, I won’t be calling them anytime soon as that would mean the boat sank 😀. I highly recommend this organization.
