Solace Tanning is a modern, upscale and professional tanning studio who has been proudly servicing Toronto's beautiful waterfront for over 10 years. We are located on the north side of Queens Quay just west of Spadina. At Solace, we specialize in customer service and have paid attention to every detail to ensure this.
We offer state-of-the-art Ergoline and SunCapsule equipment in a clean and comfortable atmosphere. We've included little touches such as hair elastics, filtered water, candy and makeup remover wipes to ensure you receive an enjoyable experience. We also provide UV-Free tanning with the Mystic Tan HD Spray Booth.

Services
It is recommended that all new clients visit the studio in person before making a package purchase online. We cannot add an online purchase to our studio tanning software without a client completing the new client paperwork and waiver in person. Please call the studio to reserve an appointment time for your first visit.
We offer multiple options to suit all of our customers' needs and budgets. These options include: points packages, minute packages, unlimited packages and individual session pricing. If you prefer to purchase individual sessions and tan by the minute, see the EQUIPMENT PRICING table below to determine the COST PER MINUTE*.
The founder, Julie, discovered that there was a huge void in the Toronto tanning industry. As a frequent traveler, she would visit local tanning salons to build her base tan. She was continuously disappointed with the lack of professionalism, quality and cleanliness of the facilities she was frequenting.
We have three different lay down levels to choose from - all three are Ergoline beds. We love Ergoline because they've been setting the standards in the tanning industry for decades. If you are purchasing a point package you may use all of these beds as well as our stand ups. The points packages are the most flexible package option.
We have two levels of stand up tanning in SunCapsule booths, the industry's #1 tanning booth. SunCapsule has set the standard for vertical tanning over the past thirty-seven plus years. Please note: We change our lamps often and because of this we will recommend your initial tanning time whether you are new to the studio or if you haven't tanned with us recently.

I use to go Solace back in 2016. This summer out of lockdown I decided try it again. Joscelyn not only takes the time to remember my name but everyones name. She brightens up my day with her positive energy. The salon is beyond clean. And i always get an amazing package. If you want to go somewhere friendly with amazing beds, I highly recommend Solace Tanning Studios to brighten up your life in more ways then one!

I visited Solace Tanning after my trip to Europe. I had a great tan and I wanted to maintain it.
The owner assisted me during my appointment and she was wonderful. Her knowledge on all things tanning made me feel so much more comfortable with my choice. She went over all packages and beds with me. She patiently answered all my questions.
Couple sessions in now, I look forward to my appointments as they are always a experiences.

I’ve always had a good experience the owner and girls working are fantastic and make you feel super welcome and like family. Never had a bad experience and would recommend to everyone. The beds and rooms are clean and high quality and all of my spray tans have turned out great!

This review is actually now applicable to my visit from Oct 2021, as I cannot figure out how to leave another review. Jocelyn’s salon is top notch and after 1.5 years of not coming in (not my choice, due to COVID restrictions), Jocelyn’s level of professionalism, friendliness and commitment to her clients comfort has not changed. Always a great experience at Solace! I come out with a perfect tan every time! Joscelyn and her team are incredible and they really take care to ensure you’re always comfortable and are getting the results you desire. This is the best tanning salon in the Toronto hands down! I just wanted to say how grateful I am being able to be back at Solace. Every time I have an appointment I'm always walking into such a safe, calm and inviting space where I can escape for those 10-15 min. Joscelyn (the owner) is nothing short of an outstanding human being. She is so kind, welcoming and a pleasure to chat to.

Called to inquiry about spray tan packages (I normally spend around $200-$250/ previous salon but recently moved closer to this area) I’m not one to write poor reviews but I’d have to say I’m a little disappointed with the brief and cold phone conversation with Alina. “Nope. Black Friday was yesterday. Not sure what’s happening cyber Monday...click” Guess someone’s excited to end their shift lol not sure if I would recommend coming here just based off the customer service alone. Sorry guys.

I have been using this salon on occasion for years. It has an impressive variety of lay down and stand up beds of different intensity. The number of beds generally allows you just show up for a procedure unless you really want a particular bed. A system of purchasing points gives you an opportunity to get savings and use them according to whichever bed you select later. The environment is clean and staff is friendly.

Don't let Jocelyn, the manager, find out you have your own pair of disposable eye protection (stickers) she'll ream you for it. She'll promise to charge you next time no matter what (they're a freaking dollar). I tried to calm the situation by suggesing maybe the girl who sold them to me when I'd signed up the week prior gave me an extra pair? (Who cares how or why the hell I have my own disposable eye protection?) She looked her up said, "She wouldn't do that she's already on probation for sales theft. I'll be checking the cameras. Next time I charge

Just called for info about the sauna. A friend referred me bc my current members club membership was four figures monthly and was looking to save ($100-$500 is reasonable I think).
I was looking for a new sauna I can visit every other day and did not understand why she said I had to choose red blue or purple lights (apparently they heal bones and immunity or something?) I just want to sweat in the sauna. The woman made it clear she had other people in line, interrupted me several times repeating do you want to book. It was also an effort for her to repeat the price she said "as I said it

Worst customer service I have encountered in my life! It was my first appointment there.I arrived 5 mins late and she didn't let me in, she was very rude and yelled at me! I didn't even know they had a 5 mins late policy! Since I was the last appointment for the day, she seemed in a rush to close and go home.. She said she is the manager/ owner of the place.. What a way to run the business..

Clean, multiple package options for minutes or points, the people are nice and helpful. I believe the unlimited tanning does not require a contract you just buy a week, two weeks, a month which is better than most tanning places where you're stuck paying for unlimited tanning for months.
I got a points package to be able to use multiple beds.
Not too busy there has been a bed available every time I have gone so far.
