Fernandez Law was founded in 2015. We are committed to helping ordinary people and business owners navigate the legal system and understand the legal issues they are facing. Fred Fernandez was born and raised in Malaysia. He immigrated to Saint John, New Brunswick in 2005 and has called Saint John home ever since. Prior to attending law school Mr. Fernandez worked in the banking industry as a financial advisor for a number of years. Since being called to the New Brunswick bar his law practice has specialized primarily in the fields of real estate, corporate and commercial law, wills and estate matters.
In Saint John and throughout New Brunswick, across Canada and internationally, people rely on the lawyers at Fernandez Law to provide effective legal representation for all of life's important events. We concentrate our efforts towards the legal issues many people confront during their lifetime, including the acquisition and sale of property, opening and operating a business and estate planning and will preparation.

Please consider Fernanadez law as your first stop for a lawyer, especially for real estate! Fred and his team were instrumental in making sure everything went smooth when i purchased my place.
When I went to sell as I had to move for work, Fred and his team made sure the sale went through. Due to buyer issues, this was the hardest most complicated deal for purchasing or selling I have ever been through and I had to buy a house in the US without credit history.
Fred and his team are amazing and will look after you through the whole process. I cannot say enough good things about them all!

Fred seems nice but I became quite irritated with his service after the sale of my house was delayed and he was unable to pay me my money on the second closing date. This wouldn't be so bad if my bank wasn't next door to his office. All he had to do was walk next door. Everyone else (including him) were all paid besides me on the day of closing. Then I had to contact him to make sure I was getting my money. He only added more stress to an already stressful process. I will not use his services again!

This law firm is very expensive based on previous experience selling a home and asking close friends about their transactions. We acknowledged that there were a few small bumps in the road however the firm charged us almost double as originally discussed. The original quote was between $600-800... they charged us almost $1300.

I was expecting the possibility of a higher bill based on Lorinda Porter's review. I read between the lines and saw she had issues with her property and closing. I am so grateful I did not base my decision on her review. Fernandez Law has shown to be the lowest in Professional charges that I have personally experienced in both New Brunswick and Ontario. I do not hesitate recommending this Law Firm.

We went to Fred through a recommendation from our mortgage broker, we just bought our first home and were very nervous (and excited) about the whole next and new chapter of our lives. Fred explained everything to us, and was very patient and understanding, even on the 586th question. We left feeling very confident and happy. Fred also pulled everything together in a very timely manner for us with no complaints (other deciding factors meant everything was extremely rushed at the end) Would recommend Fernandez Law to anybody.
