As a new client of our veterinary hospital in Burnside, you can expect our full attention to your pet's needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and while waiting for the veterinarian you can enjoy a comfortable seat in our spacious waiting area. Enjoy a complementary tea/coffee and view our 60 gallon freshwater fish tank or say hello to our resident Chameleon, Mittens!
We are happy to book an appointment for you. This is not an automatic process. Once we receive your request, we will contact you to confirm a date and time that is as close to your request as possible. If your appointment has not been confirmed within 24 hours, please feel free to contact the practice by phone to confirm.

Sammy gives the team at Burnside Vet 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‘s to match the exceptional care he receives each visit. After working in veterinary medicine for years I’m quite picky with where I take my fur babies for care. Burnside vet has exceeded my expectations. Even when they are busy they make every effort to provide the… best care possible. My dog is very sensitive but absolutely loves the whole team! They are accommodating and very considerate to each pets needs. Thank you burnside vet! Levi thinks you’re the best and so do I ♥️

My Frenchie was so sick a few weeks ago and despite being very busy, they got us in a room and worked up within 30 minutes of arriving. Thank you Dr. Taylor! Spent a few nights at MAEC but doing much better now.
Had a follow up yesterday with his regular vet (the amazing Dr. Miriam!!) since he's still not completely himself and everyone expressed their worry about him and were so happy he's feeling better. Dr. Miriam is always so willing to take the time to discuss the differential and make suggestions for investigations while still talking me down from unnecessary testing. She actively listens

I cannot rave enough about Dr. Barry and Dr. Thompson!! Dr. Barry is so gentle with my cat, and so thorough in his examination and recommendations. I switched vets a number of years ago to come here, and I'm so glad I did.
My 14 yo cat needed dental work, pricing was fair, and well explained. Dr. Thompson performed the surgery and has now followed up with me three times since, checking on Minnie to make sure she is healing and not having any problems.
This clinic really cares, and I cannot recommend them enough :) <3

I love all the staff ! My 17 year old legend Pomeranian vixie was not getting up anymore and gave up . I thought it was the end for her which I know this day will come soon . But my vet didn’t give up on her and gave me options without pressure on testing due to her age and her state . With some oxygen and back to back visits and fluids/ meds my… little girl popped back to her old spicey self ! I know she’s living on borrowed time and I hope to have her around for Xmas 🎅 Time will tell but the whole staff was great . Even when I thought her blanket she had 10 plus years

I am absolutely floored by the quality of care my pets have received at Burnside Veterinary Hospital. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I have a nervous senior cat and a very high needs dog who both visit… Burnside, and their vets and technicians are so incredibly kind and patient with them. They respect my dog’s muzzle and don’t take it off, they don’t over-handle and necessary exams go as slowly and gently as needed to reduce stress for the animal. I am especially pleased with Dr McCarron’s knowledge of current best practices and her willingness to work with

We love them. The staff is so amazing, and Dr. Thompson is the best vet I've ever been to in over a decade of owning my dog (All the vets there are great that we've seen) We go at least once a month for a check up to make sure my pup is doing well with her conditions, and to make sure her kidneys are still doing okay. They always make room for us, are so kind to us and understanding. We had a hard time finding a place that could offer me all the care/help we needed, but it's such a relief that we did. We followed our veterinarian, Dr Jessica Thompson, here when she left our previous clinic as we fell in love with not only her knowledge and beside manner but her love and care for our 5 (yup) cats. She's a feline specialist and her work ethic and knowledge match this clinic so incredibly well! We love the techs and receptionists care when talking about our pets health and care with them.

Best feline vets in the city. One doesn't always get the best outcomes when dealing with sick pets but they're compassionate all the way through. Never felt like they sugar coated or shorted us on options and treatments. Very thorough examinations and they took our concerns seriously. Top notch care and so many services are available from right here if you need them. It's just a great place to bring your pets and be confident they're being treated right and are going to get what they need from qualified professionals who care.
