In an ideal world, our feline companions would remain happy and healthy their whole lives. A reality of caring for a living creature is that they get sick or need a check-up from time to time. With recent changes to restrictions on businesses, we have made some important updates to our operating policies.
Small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas and hamsters are referred to as pocket pets. They can suffer from very similar issues as our dogs and cats do, and our hospital recommends veterinary care. At Fairview Animal Hospital, Dr. Dibblee performs full physical exams on rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, degus, chinchillas, hedgehogs, ferrets and others.
At Fairview Animal Hospital, we refer to reptiles as exotic pets. These specialized creatures require particular living conditions to be at their healthiest, and regular examinations are recommended. Dr. Dibblee examines snakes such as boa constrictors, corn snakes, and ball pythons. She also treats Bearded Dragons which have recently gained popularity, as well as leopard geckos, turtles, and a variety of other reptiles.
