Services
A dental crown is often required for a tooth that is broken or is weakened by a large filling. Invisalign allows us to help patients straighten their teeth without traditional orthodontic wires. The dentists and staff at the Northfield Dental Clinic make it a top priority to see all patients. Our clinic has just invested in a new tool which helps to detect oral cancer in its earliest stages.
We accept most insurance plans, all payment types (VISA, MC, AE, cheque, cash, debit) and our experienced receptionists work directly with insurance companies on your behalf so you don't have to. All dental insurance plans are different and we will become familiar with your particular plan so we can help you understand what your plan covers and how to make the most of your coverage.
Our office is located centrally in Nanaimo in a professional building on the corner of Northfield and Bowen Roads. Our views are of the local mountains, trees and the expansive Beban Park. We have a comfortable waiting room and patient restroom as well as comfortable treatment chairs with most dental suites featuring flat screen TVs.
We accept all payment types (VISA, MC, American Express, Debit and Canadian currency) and our experienced receptionists will assist you in dealing with your insurance provider on your behalf. All dental plans are different, and due to the Privacy Act in BC, insurers do not always share information with third parties.
The dentists at Northfield Dental Clinic can see to your entire family's dental needs. We often see our little patients for their first dental visit ever and we want to make this experience as positive as possible. In some instances it is necessary to refer a child to a children's dentist, or paedodontist, for treatment but often children are easily and successfully treated in our clinic.

Thank you Dr Cooper for getting me in so quickly when you knew I had been suffering with pain and unsure if I had an abscess. Destiny ( dental assistant ) put me at ease right away and was so very kind what a sweet girl. Dr Cooper has always taken his time to explain what he's going to do and why . He was honest and very compassionate . I will be going here for all my future dental appointments . Thanks again

My experiences at Northfield Dental Clinic have always been positive. From entering the business and walking through the new and classic foyer… to greetings from the welcoming reception staff, calming and gentle dental assistants and professional dentists, they treat you like family.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Great facilities, especially with the expansion of the whole office. Had an awesome 360° x-ray done when I came in to have a teeth cleaning, confirmed that I'm in fact a lucky Indigenous person who doesn't have to worry about Wisdom Teeth coming in 😁😁 Had Dr. Chan the last two visits, and he seemed like a very nice person, always checking in with me. I really hate getting dental done so I'm a big baby about it, but the doctors and dental assistants are all really great and make the visit a positive one.

Such a clean, bright, welcoming dentist office! I could not find many bad reviews here I was almost apprehensive but my hygienist was kind, patience, and answered all of my questions with a lot of knowledge. The dentist was busy but made sure I was clear with everything before moving onto the next patient.
I have a dental treatment plan with them now and will continue to go here for regular treatment.

I was looking for a dentist and Northfield Dental Clinic is open on Saturday, which is really convenient! So I booked an appointment for my two daughters and myself.The staff is friendly and helpful and the studio is really clean and welcoming. I already booked my next cleaning session and I'm looking forward to it 😊 Also the two hygienists who took care of my daughters were great and really kind 😊

I, like most of you, do not like to go to the dentist. I’m trying to get into the six month habit and will continue as this last experience was well worth it. My dental hygienist was very skilled and attentive, resulting in the best cleaning and whitest teeth I’ve had for years. The renovations to this Northfield dental clinic are lovely, it’s bright with lots of Windows and a fresh, clean atmosphere. The reception area and staff are very welcoming and the entire experience was surprisingly pleasant!

Highly recommended this clinic! I already get extremely nervous with going to the dentist, but being pregnant on top of that just made me so much more apprehensive about going. I heard such great things about Northfield Dental that decided to give it a try, and I’m so happy I did! They were understanding, incredibly kind and helpful, and just made me feel so at ease while I was here. They also managed to schedule me in very quick, which I appreciate as well! Thank you so much to all the staff for making my experience at the dentist a great one :)

I have been a patient at this clinic for twelve years. The dentists are very good at explaining what needs to be done and offering alternatives to consider. The procedures have always been handled professionally and the work is excellent. I appreciate the up-to-date technology used in this clinic. The hygienists also do good work and customize their techniques to meet my comfort level.

Dr Booker & Dr Cooper are fantastic dentists. they have been taking care of my teeth since they took over the practice. I have always been happy with my treatment. Dr Booker has done many crowns for me, she is very much a perfectionist! The hygienists & front staff are friendly & professional. The office is all new with I imagine the newest modern equipment. I highly recommend this dental office.

I am very nervous of dentists as last visit to one ended up being a terrible experience. I had to find a new dentist as had one tooth that needed to be extracted and one in need of a filling.
I was immediately put at ease by their receptionist who was so lovely and caring. Dr Cooper was so gentle and easy to relate to , never pressed me for anything unnecessary and gave me options with estimates of costs if I required . I am so happy to finally feel comfortable with a dentist and clinic to go to for our needs , thank you to all at Northfield Dental Clinic , I will recommend you to anyone
