The service there is excellent. Rooms are beautifuly done and each one looks different from the other. Everything you need is in walking distance. This beautiful gem is so unique....being there is like being home away from home. When you get hungry, don"t worry because there is the restaurant name Crystal Beach Gateway wich is operated and own by the same people of the Cfystal Beach Motel. The restaurant is less than 5 minutes away from the hotel, and the Beach is also less than 5 minutes away.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Crystal beach, i would recommend The Crystal Beach Motel. We booked our last minute getaway this past Civic holiday here. There was 8 of us and we occupied 3 rooms. Serge was so wonderful and a pleasure to deal with. He made sure that everyone's room was close together, as we were surprising one of the couples staying there. He was so accommodating. He even kept the surprise a secret lol. We got there earlier than expected and he was kind enough to allow us to leave our stuff in one of our friends suites which was ready and allowed my dog to stay there as

As others have said, management changed a couple years ago and the new ones don't seem to put in nearly asuch as the old ones did. The bad: They rent U-Hauls out of the back now, which makes the place seem a bit trashier. The pool is a swamp. It seemed for the last 2.5 years they have been promising people the pool will be open soon but it is looking increasingly abandoned. They rent monthly now, which attracts sketchy people. The good: The receptionist was very polite and answered the one or two questions we had without fuss. The rooms are pretty decent inside. Our room had this weird motion light

Crystal Beach Motel was well worth it. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room was very clean, decorated warmly and each room was stylish. Had the pleasure to stay in 2 diff rooms for our 2 night stay. Felt safe in this place and there were no 'shady' things or loud noises. The outdoor area had fire pits setup under massive trees with yellow light bulbs under the sky and it was a treat to enjoy that experience. I only wish the management could sell me one of their pillows as I had a great sleep on it and wanted to buy it from them ! :)

I read all these bad reviews and was expecting the worst... but I was pleasantly surprised! You cannot beat this motel for location being close to the Beach and nearby "downtown" area of Ridgeway, which has a brew pub and some places to eat (and a great Saturday morning farmers market). Even better is the walking (stumbling) proximity to the Crystal Chandelier, a totally fun jazz bar, with a community of locals taking in the local band (which was VERY enjoyable!).
So keeping in mind this is a MOTEL, not the Ritz Carlton, I think you get what you pay for. I was fortunate enough to

We had a lucky escape from here. We knew the pool wasn't running but it looked disgusting. We had specifically requested a room but when we arrived were told that it had been given away. We checked the room being offered but it looked horrible. I'm sure it was clean but it's so run down and there's no attempt to make the room inviting. Not somewhere that you'd want to spend any time in. Luckily we found alternate accommodations at the Comfort Inn which were far more superior.

WORST EXPERIENCE
From the second I pulled in I wanted to leave but it was late and there was NOTHING near by.
1. I got there and no one is at the front desk, there was a sign to call but when i called no answer, so I decided to walk around the property and hoped when I came back so would an employee ... So we walked around and there was the pool ... Empty with no water in it ... There was the advertised picnic area , broken benches & OLLLDDDD awful BBQS that were not useable .... I was already so rattled
About 20 minutes passed so I went back to the reception desk & called again NOTHING

Visiting family in the area, thought we would treat our kids to a motel for a night (as we usually stay with family) and drove for five LONG hours with a 5 and 11yr old. Promising them a swim in the motel pool for the ENTIRE trip. Stopped to buy pool toys on the road and everything.
We pull into the lot to see a dirty, empty pool. No water. No swimming at this motel. We were NOT informed at booking that the pool was closed.
Entered the room, clean enough and cool enough until the air conditioning was turned off (or down) in the evening so our sleep wasn't as comfortable as we had hoped.

Rooms are spotless and we got the half price deal. The
owner was great to work with via email and check in was a breeze. The pool needs work, the hand rail to enter the shallow end is broken and not fixated to the steps properly. The rooms are, as I said before, are spotless but very dated. The tv is a small box model that is at best is 21 inch. The beds are comfy but only
sit on a wooden box, there is no box spring so you are very low to the ground and the pillows are very thin. I would stay here again, but not at the full price of $140 per night.

I paid more than my room at the Royal York earlier in the week. There were long dark hairs lining the walls of the shower and what looked like vomit along the base of the bed. I checked in and shortly went back to ask directions to a store. The person at front desk (not the person who checked me in) stated he "didn't know" where stores were since he thought I was someone who had just come in off the street to ask directions. When I told him I was a guest - he then suddenly remembered. Terrible customer service. And a "no exception" 10 am check out is ridiculous.
