Whether you need listings of places to rent, help to avoid eviction, one time financial assistance, or help to prevent utility disconnection, we can provide help. We offer services to workplaces including individual, couples and family counselling as well as on-site services and workshops. The Community Service Order (CSO) program helps people strengthen their lives and promotes community well-being.
Community Counselling and Resource Centre (CCRC) has been a valuable part of the Peterborough community for 65 years. Our founding agencies date back to 1956, when the Catholic Social Service Bureau was created and 1971 when Volunteers and Information Peterborough was formed. Both agencies were started by groups of concerned local citizens to provide needed services.

Services
For nearly 65 years, CCRC (Community Counselling and Resource Centre) has provided professional, caring services that make a positive and lasting difference in people's lives and within the community. We do this through services that offer counselling, support and resources to assist with personal well-being, credit and financial management, access to housing and connection with the community.
Service Update: The Professional Counselling program has moved to 540 George St N. Please call 705-743-2272 to be connected with our team. Our skilled professional therapists will help you explore and understand your issue and assist you to develop solutions. We use a short-term to mid-term model of therapy, meaning that most issues are resolved in a maximum of six to twelve sessions.
These are just examples. We deal with a large variety of issues. If you feel that counselling may be helpful to you, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss our services. Professional Counselling services are available to everyone in Peterborough City and County. Our services are available in accessible locations.
For both client / staff safety all of our staff are working remotely from home. Our counsellors are providing telephone counselling at this time. Please call and leave a voice message at 705-742-4258 to arrange services. This number is being monitored regularly during business hours and our staff will return your call as quickly as possible.
We hope that everyone had a fantastic time and we look forward to the day when we can see you all again. Thank you so much to our Sponsors, auction donors, our teams and a special thank you to our Jukebox Mania committee for making it all happen. It's Name that tune trivia! It's a friendly competition where your team listens to clips of songs that follow a theme and you guess the artist or title of the song (or both!).

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Value
sadly this is the extent of healthcare offered in Ontario. Wait 9 months for a unlicensed therapist to give you 6 sessions of time. Defund this wasteful spending and put the money into something more productive... like painting lines on the road pink because that's about how effective this service is.

Great place to find counselors. Cost is what you can afford - no cost if that's where you're at. Many counselors to choose from and they try to match you based on the information you provide during the intake procedure. There can be a wait list, but if you are a caregiver for someone with dementia or other, you are moved to the front of the line. They also offer many different groups based on many issues from anger management to surviving loss or dealing with abuse and others.
