I became aware of Peter Fenger Builders when I was invited to dinner at a beautifully renovated home in the UBC area which they had provided custom doors and windows for. I thought "wow!" when I saw the house, and quickly realized that this company could probably solve a long standing problem for me - a very old sliding wood patio door that was long overdue for replacement but nothing standard would fit. I contacted Fenger et al. and they agreed to come out for an estimate. The solution we chose - a custom set of French doors, was beautifully crafted and installed with minimum trouble. It looks

Peter Fenger Builders have made the point of entry into my house, the front door, a place of beauty. When I greet friends at the door I generally find them standing, gazing at the door, arrested by the fine craftsmanship and really quite at a loss for words. The loss for words is understandable because one is not often confronted by the level of detail found in my front door, frame and sill. So they usually end up saying.."What a beautiful door!" And then they ask me where I got it.

We have received nothing but perfect work from PFB. Our first project with them was 10 years ago with large windows (13 ft wide x 11 ft high) with a grid of mullions, some squares were fixed glass and some were casement openers. Second project involved 7 huge double hung windows (6.5 ft wide by 8 ft high) with all the pulleys and counterweights, plus two giant rolling "barn" doors. We are in the middle of our third project with PFB, this time a house with a 100 ft curtain wall that all rolls away. They use the best of everything. Perfect wood. Best hardware, stainless or brass.
