Crown Motel
Come and enjoy Penticton's most popular beachside summer destination at the charming cottage style Crown Resort Motel. Guests will love the casual friendly atmosphere, heated pool, or relax with your morning coffee while enjoying the lake views from your own veranda or an evening beverage: all at affordable rates.

The location is excellent: stroll across Lakeshore Drive to the beautiful sandy beach of Okanagan Lake. I loved the laminate floors, and the room was very clean and soundproof as I have a hearing problem and checked with my neighbours to make sure they could not hear the TV and they could not. The fact that the lake was across the road and a variety of restaurants close by, make it special.
Services
Our comfortable and tastefully decorated cottage style standard rooms are our most economical accommodations. These rooms are well equipped and come with sunny verandas from which you can enjoy lake views while having your morning coffee and evening beverage. These rooms do not feature a full kitchen.
Ideal for our guests who want a little more room and a fully equipped kitchen. Our updated, inviting and bright one bedroom suites are an affordable answer. Located by the saltwater pool, our ground floor suites are popular with families who have small children. Our second floor suites have gorgeous view of Okanagan Lake.
During this period our accommodations are often booked far in advance, particularly during popular events, often as much as a year in advance. Stay for four nights and days for the price of three nights. Celebrate Canada Day with us, we are within walking distance of all Canada Day and Elvis Festival events.

Please avoid this place at ALL costs. The owner is rude, greedy and cheap. 2020 had no water in the outdoor pool due to covid now 2021 no water in the outdoor pool because of the fires and ash....when every other single motel has happy kids swimming in their pools. You can't have any visitors due to Covid. The prices DOUBLED to 300 a night. Oh and you can't even use the microwave because it will blow the breaker haha. What a dump. The BEST motel is Golden Sands a few blocks down. Best little pool and extremely professional pleasant owner. Don't waste your money on this dump.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would.
Staff, not friendly; the old lady that works there and that we booked with is a big liar, very rude, very ignorant, and in my opinion as per our experience a bit racist as well.
Rooms, filthy.
Pool, dirty.
Not sure how come health or governing authorities in BC don't inspect these facilities and make sure these are not health hazards.
Would not recommend to anyone. Bad, bad, bad, bad!

If you plan on coming and cooking your own food, good luck. The fridge and freezers here don’t work. We have a big family and stayed in two rooms both fridge and freezer in both rooms didn’t work causing us to throw away the stuff in our freezer.

Stayed here 2 years ago and I guess it was fine. No reason to leave a review, either way.
Well, last week I get a call from a lady at the reception verifying a room booking in a couple weeks time that's in my name and booked with my credit card.
I certainly didn't book it, I explained, but maybe my partner did and was trying to surprise me with a trip? So I said, very weird, but let me explore a bit and I'll call you back. After confirming nobody I knew booked this hotel, I called back and stated as such.
My goodness, you'd think someone in the hospitality industry would want to help problem

Very disappointed. We stayed here 5 years ago and LOVED it. However our stay this time was very disappointing. We booked 3 rooms, one of them was a kitchenette suite. The dishes in the kitchenette were dirty- we had to pre wash them. The frying pan was so dirty we had to buy our own. Only 1 element on the stove worked- the back right one, to small for our frying pan to cook anything properly. We asked 3 times for someone to come fix the stove. And was advise by management. “Someone came 3 times already”…. However they didn’t and it was never fixed during our stay.
We were also never advised

Over priced, poor service, run down rooms, bring your own pillows, toilet paper and boxed tissue. Only ONE 20 " television that didn't work in a two bedroom suite. Staff tried to accuse son of ruining the TV. Stayed at this location for 3 nights. I would never stay there again, probably better off at a hostel. We had to ask for toilet paper and for pillows. Pillows were brought over to us on our last evening. And, not once did staff ask if we needed more towels or garbage taken out. I may complain to Better Business Bureau about this motel. I would never stay there again. I would take pics of room

What’s not to love about this place? You have beautiful rooms with a veranda , you have views of the Okanagan Lake on one side, the pool on the other... the bedding is very comfortable, the staff are extremely nice and make you feel at home! They are very accommodating, I just wish I had started coming here sooner!! Will definitely come back on every trip to Penticton!

This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a place to crash at night so you can to experience the wonders that Penticton has to offer during your days there. We spent the majority of the time when we were here sitting around the pool or gabbing away on the patios outside of our rooms. We were not a quiet group (12 girls) but we were never asked to turn down our music or anything like that. It seems to be pretty central to a lot of cool stuff and we often were able to walk to anything we wanted to do (eg. tubing down the river). The rooms are standard for a 2-star place but they were clean

Worst Motel. Avoid if you possibly can. Upon arrival we were directed to our 1 Bedroom suite with Lake view. We walked into a room that was under renovation due to a flood in the opposing unit that happened at the beginning of summer (according to manager). Immediately we went to the office to ask for a new room because we have a 6 month old who doesn't need to be crawling on a plywood floor and picking up and ingesting moldy bits of rotten wood or plaster. We were told there are no other options and where we were located is not a room kids are allowed but they are going to give us a $10 discount
