Best jeweller in Niagara. This place has been around for years for good reason. My parents and many of my friends' parents have gotten their jewelry from here because they are honest and trustworthy. A lot of local jewelry shops actually send their repairs here. My husband got my engagement ring here as well as our wedding bands. The man who looked after us was extremely knowledgeable about jewelry. He is eccentric but he clearly knew what he was talking about as he was able to answer our questions, to which we Googled later and yes, he was right. I believe the man who helped us was a gemologist

Brought my engagement ring in to get a wedding band made, he told me due to the shape and a loose diamond that is "unfixable" I would need a whole new set because no one will touch my ring. I was very upset obviously. But I took my ring to Griffin jewellers at the pen, and they not only fixed the diamond petar deamed unfixable, but they also made me a beautiful custom band to fit around my engagement ring for under $1000.00.
Im not saying he's a bad jeweller, he just certainly wasn't helpful for my situation.

Great service and very knowledgeable. I purchased my engagement ring here and couldn't be happier with how it turned out (neither could she!) and how much I learned from the experience. The jeweler is very honest and trustworthy, I will definitely be returning for more. I definitely recommend going here, the pricing is very reasonable.

My experience was TERRIBLE!
Me and my fiancée went to get wedding bands. Hers needs to be custom made to fit the engagement ring.
He looked at the engagement ring and for 10 minutes continued to criticize it saying it was terribly made, that it was made by a crook, and tried to discredit the appraisal saying everything about it is terrible.
I actually had to remind him why we were there because of his vendetta against custom made jewellery. This was all done in front of my fiancée who loves the ring.
I will NEVER go again.
I hope no one else does!

Went there to ask about getting jewellery appraised. The mother and son that own the place were there, and both of them accused us of stealing the jewellery that we had brought in! We went to leave in disgust, only to find out that they had locked us in the store while we were there. Apparently, they distrust everyone, because locking customers in is their normal practice. There are many great jewellery stores in St.Catharines, but this is definitely not one of them. These people are terrible business people and should not be dealing with the public. We had some old jewellery that we wanted to sell, so we went to Petar's to see if they offered appraisals. The minute we walked in, the door was locked behind us, which we found very unnerving. But the worst was what happened after we asked the elderly woman behind the counter if they offered appraisal services: she said that they do not do business with criminals and implied that we had stolen the jewellery! She hadn't even seen the rings- we had only inquired. Then the younger man who had locked us in- I am assuming that it is her son- joined in, berating us. We were further humiliated
