Jaya Yoga Centre
Jaya Yoga is a virtual studio that provides students with an authentic experience that incorporates traditional yoga practices in our classes. The Jaya Yoga Tribe consists of a community of teachers and students who are dedicated to experiencing a life of well-being and are conscientious of the energy we share in the world.

We celebrate bodies of all shapes and sizes, we welcome students of all ages and walks of life, and we are a safe haven for our LGBTQ community. We are committed to connection, inspiration, and learning what is possible in life through the practice of yoga, breathwork and meditation. We believe that through practice and inclusion, we can rise together as a global community and change the world!
Services
We experience change in our lives every day. Some days are filled with much activity and stress, while other days are more geared towards savoring our experiences, or finding rest and renewal. Our goal is to provide an oasis for urban yogis to step away from busy city life and practice yoga within a peaceful and quiet space, while supporting a variety of practices to meet the needs of Toronto yoga practitioners.
We offer both virtual and in-your-home one-on-one private classes with a certified yoga instructor, who will tailor your class specifically to your needs. Maybe you would like to gather a few friends together, and have the Instructor to yourself. Or, purchase a Yoga by Design package of 10 for yourself to enjoy, and invite friends with you for a small fee.
Reiki is a form of energy healing. It was discovered by Mikao Usui in the 1920's in Japan. The word Reiki means "spiritual ki" - meaning, the natural flow of energy within each of us. It is the process of transferring Universal Energy to the client through the hands of the practitioner. At Jaya Yoga, we absolutely love Reiki!
For those who would like to deepen their insights into the science of yoga and pranayama, as well as pursue teaching certification in holistic yoga with a Yoga Alliance Registered School, this is an ideal opportunity. Imagine delving into a YTT program (Yoga Teacher Training) with the convenience of being at an in-town yoga centre.
Meditation is a practice of quieting the mind and bringing our awareness into the present moment. In our meditation classes and workshops, we explore a variety of different meditation techniques including mantra, breath awareness, affirmation and visualization. We have been leading Meditation classes since 2011.

Is a rip off. The teachers are not on par with yoga instructors elsewhere. They are not even remotely fit. The classes get cancelled willy-nilly without announcement. Their students are people who don't know better.

I really like some of the teachers and classes but the professionalism leaves something to be desired. It really sucks to walk all the way to the studio and the class is cancelled, with no notice on the door and no email sent. It would take 5 minutes to send an email to everyone registered as a student and yet no one thought to do that. I will use the rest of my pass but not sure that I would repurchase based on tonight's experience.

So I've been torn about whether or not to write a review of this studio for a while. I signed up for their new student pass a few months ago and attended a handful of classes there during that week. I took a range of classes from restorative to vinyasa to power yoga classes.

The restorative classes seemed to be targeted at an older demographic so perhaps they cater to the makeup of the neighborhood. The teacher was nice but I found the room too brightly lit to get into a deeper state that I'm accustomed to for a class like this. Perhaps the studio could have light-blocking
