Perspective Counselling
At Perspective Counselling, I work collaboratively with my clients and concentrate on the issues they want to address. Whether it is negotiating difficult life situations, dealing with anxiety, stress, sadness, depression, self-esteem issues or making decisions, working with a professional can make a difference.

I also work on all types of relationship problems, whether with couples, parents, families or learning how to improve friendships or work relationships. I focus on my clients' abilities to assist them to find solutions that are personally suited to them. Each person has a unique life story and is therefore the expert on the difficulties they are dealing with.
Services
At Perspective Counselling, I use a collaborative approach with clients to find new behaviours and responses to problems that work better for them. In my practice, I use the client's knowledge of their own life, including the problems they face and the abilities they bring to overcome those issues.
Anxiety has become one the most common issues of our time and has been around as long as people have. It has other names, worry, stress, concern, fear, shyness, and panic to name a few. It makes people feel bad and tends to control their choices. It's most typical effect is worry, one's brain going over and over the same issue.
Relationships are difficult. The storybook version where people come together and everything works perfectly is never the reality. In fact, all relationships have some significant differences. Even in happy 20 year-long relationships, couples report having differences that they have not overcome. However, it is important to note that despite those differences, the couples are happy.
Self-esteem is the value or worth that one places in oneself. In contrast, when self-esteem is low we are likely to miss opportunities in order to avoid risk. We also may perform poorly because we are overly focused on ourselves and poor outcomes rather than the task at hand. We are also likely to be overly accommodating to avoid criticism and rejection.
Depression is one of those technical words that have taken on a common meaning. It is often used to describe a variety of low moods that people struggle with, including sadness, lack of energy, grief, suicidal thinking and others. It also still has its technical definition that allows a medical diagnosis for some people.
