Services
We are the longest established martial arts school in the Durham Region. For more than 45 years, we've been committed to building and developing our students to become the best they can possibly be. Many students have reported to us that their increased level of physical fitness and the confidence they've gained through their martial arts experience has allowed them to perform better at work, in school and at home.
Krav Maga is a simple, no nonsense approach towards self defense which can easily be learned by anyone. It has be been adopted by many Law Enforcement agencies worldwide. It's fun, effective and an awesome workout! Our Taekwondo program blends a traditional Martial Art system with a modern approach towards training that will improve each child's confidence, focus and fitness.

We have loved watching our little girl grow with confidence and skill at Leo Wong’s Tae Kwon Do and Krav Maga. Through the pandemic- we have been very happy with everything done to keep students safe. We are proud to support this family run business - and we bypass many other facilities that are closer to where we live to come to this location. We look forward to having our next daughter join when she is old enough!

This is one of the best martial arts schools around. Raymond pushes his class hard and as a result we can do things we never thought was possible before. We signed our daughter (4 yo) up for Tiny Tigers and she absolutely loves the class. The facility is clean and organized with great communication and the instructors are excellent. Our daughter is already looking forward to coming back from Christmas break. We drive from Bowmanville to Leo Wong's and will continue to do so for future classes. Thank you Leo, Evelyn and Raymond.

My son has been going here since just after he turned 4. He's almost 10 now and just got his purple belt, working hard 2-3 times a week for the last almost 6 years. It's a wonderful family-owned business that cares about both the students and the martial art versus other places you might come across that are "black belt factories" that hand belts out long before kids have truly earned them. Even when my son missed an entire year due to COVID, they worked hard with him to ensure he was practicing at home and to get him back up to speed when he finally returned. We put my son in Tiny Tigers at 4 and although he may have had a rough start, Master Raymond kept working with him and now my son looks forward to going to every class. Great vibes from this family owned Dojo. Generations of families train here and it's easy to see why. Master Raymond and his family really care about the progress of their students.

I have 2 teenage daughters who wanted to learn self defence. I went to the Wong’s. When I spoke with Raymond’s mom to register them, she got me to sign up my younger daughter and son. LOL - love Mrs. Wong! It’s a great family business, it’s clean, and the instruction is excellent. You know Raymond and his father practice the art. Now our family is connected to their family. Have fun and get fit from professionals. (And Mrs. Wong says people who train with her son succeed with their Police Services applications, so if you’re training with a specific goal, Leo Wong’s is the best.)

Two generations of our family have trained with Leo Wongs TKD. The atmosphere is positive with professional instruction. My son began training at five. I have notice a change in his self confidence and ability to listen and follow instructions . It is a good feeling when you child is eager to go to class and tell all about the things they have learned. I have strongly recommended Leo Wongs TKD to all my friends and their families. We are very lucky to have a school like this in our community.

Raymond is a great instructor that shows he cares about his students. He treats them with tough love to help develop their discipline and is understanding that some students may take longer to develop than others.
