At Koalaroo Preschool, we believe children are entitled to opportunities that support and encourage their emotional, social, cognitive and physical growth and development in a nurturing and supportive environment.We seek to stimulate and develop children's creative thinking and problem-solving skills through both teacher- and child-directed activities.

By the end of the Possum year, the students will have been exposed to various learning experiences that will give them the foundation skills to recognise 10 colours; numbers from 1 - 10 and also recognising shapes. The focus during this year is on Gross Motor skills, Fine Motor skills, Socialization and Language.
By the end of the Joey year, the students will have been exposed to learning experiences that will enable them to know more about colour (Primary, Secondary, pastels and mixing); recognize teens and tens; the days of the week; months of the year and weather. The focus this year is on Language; Mathematics; Fine Motor skills; Gross Motor skills; Socialization and Self-awareness.
We offer 3 tiers of both structured education and play-based programs for toddlers and children from 18 months to 5 years. Each of our programs promotes a positive self-image for each child by encouraging exploration, fostering the development of social skills, cultivating friendships, and promoting a strong sense of community.

We could not be happier with our daughter’s two years of experience at Koalaroo. The owners, Annie and Steve, and their staff have provided a warm and inviting educational environment. There are reports to mark your child’s success and family friendly activities such as Christmas concerts, Family Fun Days and Mother’s Day Tea. We are excited that our child will walk confidently into JK this fall because of the staff at Koalaroo.

I cannot say enough nice things about Koalaroo Preschool. It is a huge relief to know that my kids are well taken care of each day by a preschool that has very high quality standards. They treated us as if we were family from day one and cared for our children as if they were their own. I recommended Koalaroo Preschool to all of my friends and… family who are looking for child care arrangements because to me there is no other facility in Barrie that I would want to raise my children.
Koalaroo Preschool is clean, there is a great backyard, and chef Steve feeds them a variety of healthy meals
