The lid switch broke on my Maytag washer. To replace this, the part was going to take 8-12 wees to arrive. Along with a $59.95 set of hoses, the bill was $420. Instead, I purchased the part from Whirlpool for $23, it arrived in 3 days and took 30 seconds - truly, to replace, it literally pops on the lid. When I called to cancel my installation, it seem irrelevant that I was being completely overcharged.

I hired Appliance Genie to fix an issue with my fridge where ice was building up on the bottom on my freezer and issues with the waterline. They came did a “diagnosis,” then I pay for the part that allegedly had issue. Technician came “fix” the issue, one week later my ice was building up on the freezer. Technician came back “fix” again. I got ANOTHER bill to pay for something that I have already paid. Nevertheless, my fridge is still building ice on the bottom of the freezer. If you want to waste your money and time please contact them. I would not recommend this company at all. This

Kitchen Aid sent Appliance Genie out to diagnose/fix a downdraft vent hood. They charged $130 to "diagnose"; the technician said the switch was faulty and needed to be replaced.. Days later, I still hadn't heard back from them, despite a 24-48 hr response time. They wanted to charge $400 for the part and the additional time to fix it. I took the panels off myself and found that the switch wasn't plugged in. What a scam! Unit works fine now. Not trustworthy!

Had this company come to "diagnose" a fault dryer, they sent a technician who was unable to move or unplug the dryer to safely look at it. Technician left, and did not return. I called the company for an estimate of necessary repairs. I was told I would hear back from them with an estimate. I did not hear back from anyone, I received a bill for said diagnosis when nothing was completed.
This company is shady and lacks any professionalism.
Stay away there are plenty of great service companies in K-W.

Well we bought a new freezer and the plug was damaged. The appliance store put the repair through Appliance Genie. The guy gave me attitude when. He showed up as I didn’t answer the phone when he called. I never received a phone call.
He came in and replaced the cord. Right after he left I heard a clicking noise that happened every couple of minutes. Contacted the store where we bought it and they called me back asking that I let them know when Appliance Genie called me. Never received a call from them. The store is graciously replacing our month old freezer. What a pain this is. We had to find

Be aware SCAM business
Don't get this company to repair anything, the worst service I’ve experienced. After charging me to diagnose a washer about $100 +tax, we had to call/ email them to get a quote ( hard to get a hold of them) , the repair cost they give us was so high , will be much cheaper to buy new washer
The repair guy maybe spent 5 min ,… charged 100 + tax for 5 min . That's outrageous
Be aware this is scammer company , they charge a fee upfront , and they give you outrageous quote , doesn't make sense to use their service .
We requested refund as this is obviously a scam

Getting an initial quote was fast, and easy.i had to get them to special order a part for me, which was also easy. From there communication about if the part arrived and schedule an appointment was slow and frustetating. Once i had an appointment confirmed, a technician ( Austin) came out on time, very professional, and did the job quickly. My… fridge is now good as new, and the pricing it didn't break the bank. Even though communication with the customer service side was frustetating, I would definitely use this service again if all their technicians work like Austin did.

They communicated clearly by email when they would be arriving to assess our broken LG fridge. While in the house they conscientiously followed Covid 19 safeguards. The replacement parts were ordered and when in, I received a further email to confirm an installation date. All in all, a good experience. I would call them again for any further appliance repairs.
