Services
We are located 20 minutes north of Peterborough, on the 8th Line of Selwyn Township (the highway between Bridgenorth and Lakefield). Saturday Pick ups need to be called in 24hours in advance so arrangements can be made to have a staff member on hand. You are the proud new owners of an R&J Machine Lift-Up Dock, the season is coming to an end and it's time to remove your Lift-Up Dock for the winter. Before you can prepare to lift your dock, you must first remove all the deck boards. It is advisable to start at the far end and remove to the shore keeping track of the order of removal so they can be re-installed in reverse order and all will fit properly!.
At R&J Machine we build products that will last years on end, but over time you will need to check your cables, grease your pulleys etc. There also may be times where the lake bottom has changed and you need your products adjusted or reveled. When it comes time to do a little maintenance on your R&J Machine products; you can call or email us to request a service call.
R&J Machine warrants all R&J built equipment purchased new by the original owner to be free from defect in the material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase (excluding components and options which carry their own manufacturer's warranty, wherein that warranty will apply).
At R&J Machine we aim to meet the service delivery expectations of all our customers and welcome any feedback regarding how your expectations have (or have not) been met. I wanted to let you know that the guys were great, worked hard at getting it into the right place, worked with us on the old lift and actually sold it to the marina.

I was in need of a new marine rail system due to a break down in my old one and decided to give R & J Machine a try. Katie at R & J Machine and the dealer, Pete at East Point Marina in Keswick were exceptional. Katie put together a package at a very fair price and was able able to customize it in short order to have me back in the water and on my boat as soon as possible. What an unbelievable purchase experience we have had with R&J. Craig is an unbelievable sales rep to deal with, but his after-sales responsiveness and attention has been even more impressive. Every crew that came out as part of the delivery and install have been such a pleasure to deal with and so good at what they do.
There wouldn’t be a second thought to calling Craig and using R&J for anything else dock or boat-lift related in the future.

I own a Marine Rail from RJ. I purchased it about 8 years ago and looked around at various options extensively. From my initial point of contact they were responsive, professional and wonderful to deal with. Twice during my ownership, I have had ice damage issues (my fault, not theirs!) and in both cases the RJ team was really quick to get me replacements delivered and help install - even though my cottage is 3 hours away from their office and outside their 'normal' territory. I chose them because of the quality of their product and their customer service and they've exceeded my expectations consistently

In the fall of 2017 I contacted R& J Machine about removing and reinstalling an R & J Boat Lift which I had purchased used (still in excellent condition). The level of customer service I received was outstanding. They demonstrated interest and care in their product and also to me as a new customer. Their technicians are very courteous, knowledgeable and experienced in their products. Almost 2 years later, I contacted them about the purchase of new rubber straps for the canvas roof. I received a prompt reply within 8 business hours from their office. I wish you every success in continued growth

After meeting with 3 dock manufacturers and seeing their products at neighbouring lots, went with R&J given the overall structural design and quality of their lift up docks. Derek was great work with and after a number of primarily weather driven delays we were very pleased with the installed dock and flag pole. Lift up crew this fall were great as well.

Excellent company, great workmanship and supportive group. I would recommend this company for any water project. They are very professional and courteous in all ways. they are also very thorough on clean up after all work is completed almost to the point you never knew they were there except for the project result.

We are thrilled with our new dock. It was the focal point of our summer at the cottage on Pigeon Lake. Watching the sunset, star-gazing, kayaking and canoeing with the Paddler's Pal, swimming and diving using the handy ladder; water-skiing, boating, and fishing were all made possible with the secure, steady dock - well-designed, built and installed by R&J Machine!
