The addition of Kawartha Prop Repair in 1980 added a significant dimension to the meaning of "Full Service Marina" for Buckhorn Yacht Harbour Ltd. Established in the early 1960s by Orville Smith, the once one man shop is now known as Kawartha Propeller with a staff of 19 employees and 9 pickup and delivery circuits across Ontario.
John has been a part of the Kawartha Propeller team since its establishment, partnering with his father Ferdinand. He has a comprehensive understanding of propellers and the factors affecting their performance. A problem-solver at heart, John is passionate about the customer experience and finding the best application for your boat.
Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that the double cupping that you put on the prop last week worked great. There is no more cavitation at full throttle with a RPM of 5200 and a top speed of 46 MPH. You really know your stuff.
