We at Stubbe Chocolates are the oldest family-owned business in the Ottawa Valley and a prime destination in the heart of Ottawa.

Six years ago I had my first amazing experience in Colombia, South America, of seeing a Cocoa (CACAO) plantation, a beautiful cocoa tree, and holding in my hands a cocoa pod.

We usually have a fair amount of cakes available at the store in SMALL size only, if you wish a bigger size please do not hesitate to contact us to place an order. Chocolate sponge cake filled with orange chocolate ganache, covered with Dark Chocolate Glaze. Chocolate almond sponge cake filled with two layers of chocolate ganache and one layer of praline, covered with chocolate glaze.

I was looking for special treat to send to someone alone this year at Christmas. I ordered online Nov 20 to ensure I had lots of lead time. I completed the order form asking for Delivery Dec 18. When I confirmed with my family they didn't receive it I called. I had all my info from the original order, I was abruptly told they don't deliver outside of Ottawa to a bedroom community. I said that would have been helpful information the month prior when they took my money. The person was rude and saying there aren't delivering at all in Dec. again then don't take orders. They did

I came here based on the reviews for hot chocolate! It was a freezing, windy winter day, and hot chocolate was the perfect option. The server greeted me right away and asked if I wanted regular hot chocolate or spicy. I chose spicy (I love spicy anything)!
It took maybe 10 minutes to make, which is a while, but you can browse the store in the meantime; the variety of chocolates was stunning! They also have 3 types of chocolate cakes you can purchase as slices.

We are planning to visit this place from long time and every time we reach near byward market it's closed. Bad luck . So this time we were way before time and all existed with try the best hot choclate in Ottawa. As soon as you enter this place you feel only one thing obvious chocolates. Hot choclate is amazing and by far the best I had and ranks befor Lindt for me. They have even opened store in Toronto and looking forward to visit there too.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmm, mmmmmmm.....
Went on a food tour offered via Byward Market Oktoberfest (C'est Bon is the company doing the tours). This was one of the stops. I've probably walked by it 50 times and not given it a second glance. It is now our go-to coffee stop in the market.
*Amazing* chocolate, and a great coffee concoction they call Choc Moch (pronounced like chalk-mawk) which would, in most places be referred to as a Café Mocha or something similar. But have to say - Stubbe's is way better. More chocolate, not as much sugar, and very smooth. Delicious! Complimented

I am kind of addicted to their marzipan, as the good folks from Stubbe, Heinrich, Pilar, & Anne, all know!
They do the marzipan in the shapes and colours of small fruits, but also a higher almond paste content with a chocolate shell that cracks so perfectly when you bite into it.
Also, the florentines are lovely, and of course, the truffles.
The small chocolate heart 'box' with truffles inside that my husband bought for me at Valentine's was so perfect.
My husband and I have a date to go sit at one of their little bistro tables and enjoy a real cup of hot chocolate.
