Basinview Animal Hospital began in 1997 in Bedford, NS. Since then we have been steadily growing, thanks to our fantastic clients! Basinview Animal Hospital is proud to serve Bedford, Nova Scotia and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. Two of our veterinarians practice exotic medicine, and we offer a variety of services for your little ones including vaccinations, wellness exams, bloodwork and fecal testing.
Yvonne founded Basinview Animal Hospital in 1997. She grew up on the South Shore of Nova Scotia but she and her husband, Philip, now call Fall RIver home. She earned her BSc at Acadia University then graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 1992. Special interests include surgery, dentistry and geriatric medicine, especially pain management of the senior pet.

As a new golden retriever owner I was very careful in choosing my vet. I used to go to Basinview a long time ago and the service is still amazing. I have nothing but praise for for the care my new pup (Gemma) has been getting. She has been here twice in the last two weeks and she absolutely loves everyone she's met here. On the first visit they just fit me in to ensure my little Gemma got her flea and tick meds asap. Miranda and Chad at this time couldn't have been any better to her and me for that matter. I noticed that my little kitten has worm coming from her. I contacted the clinic. they respond quickly with my concern and arranged time in same day so let me get in exactly after 30 min in between thier clients which mean great help . They are really professional and friendly. Stephanie and Dr. Yvonne so kind with great knowledge! They take care very well of my kitten and explain to me situation! Price is really good as well camper to other clinic seriously i can say they are the best ! So satisfied with my experience! Big thank you!!

We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Yvonne, her Tech Stephanie and all the staff at Basinview. We've been going to this clinic for years with all our pets. They've always been treated with patience and love. Two weeks ago we took one of our dogs to them thinking she had a virus of some sort. It ended up being way more serious than this and… we had to make the decision to say goodbye. The staff was amazing, caring, helping and so compassionate. We picked up our fur babe's remains yesterday, they had a paw print and a sympathy card signed by all of them. We cannot thank you enough for

Dr. Aimee was fantastic with my bunny, Bonkers. She isn’t our regular vet, but they jumped to the rescue when we needed to be seen sooner than a later date. She treated him with such respect and was a great… support to me with his current health issues. She took the time to explain things as clearly as possible to ease my stress, and my bun really seemed to like her. Very sweet techs working alongside her as well. My puppy had her first visit at Basinview today and I could not be more please with how well the appointment went. The staff and Dr. Amanda are fantastic and very informative. They are friendly and car me about your pet. Knowledgeable and I am comfortable with their ability an any recommendations they have . I have been going to them for 9 years.
