Founded in 1935 by former optometrist David Josephson, Josephson Opticians has become an integral part of the Greater Toronto community. Our company offers five conveniently located boutiques where we passionately work to fulfill the optical and fashion eyewear needs of our clients. Providing an extraordinary client experience has long been our core principle, and our enduring reputation for excellence has become the hallmark of our company.
To maintain a high quality of eye health and very good vision, a comprehensive and in-depth eye examination is highly recommended on a regular basis at least every 1 1/2 to 2 years. The primary importance of such examinations are to assess the health of the ocular tissues, test for glaucoma, and macular degeneration, and to record an ongoing history of your eye health as well as updated prescription information.
We travel accross the globe to seek out the trend-making titans of the eyewear fashion industry and we take a personal interest in quality and production of frames. In our boutiques, you will have access to an exclusive and unique selection of frames by eyewear artisans. Each frame is made of high quality materials, and is carefully selected for its superb craftsmanship.

I have bought glasses from Josephson's before and have always had the pleasure of dealing with Eliza, the best optician / salesperson I have ever dealt with. She was accommodating, caring and walked me throughout the entire process, always communicating with me about the delivery of my glasses, as I live out of town. I always received my glasses delivery early and she always followed up. I highly recommend dealing with her as she was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Josephson Opticians have a wide selection of designer frames at great prices. I was in the Bay St store today (located directly across the street from the Bay St subway station (on Bay St)) and I bought Robert Marc frames which were designed in New York City by Robert Marc. After I selected the frames, Jason Lam, Registered Optician told me all about the designer, Robert Marc who travels the world for his inspiration. All his frames are handmade in France. This designer has exclusive rights to his acetate designs, so he is the only one with these distinctive colours. Robert Marc likes to mix tortoise
