I have gone during Covid time and both ladies wore masks, used hand sanitizer before and after touching/adjusting the frames. Every frame I touched to try on, they made sure to clean before placing them back on the floor/display. My experience here during this difficult/odd time was perfect - I felt SAFE.
They carry various European brands, amazing service and atmosphere. They offer hard to find brands to which are made in the brands country (France, Japan, Germany, etc)...not China. Beautiful colours, shapes and uniqueness. A one of a kind place for your one of a kind frame!

I've been going to Olsson since I "graduated" from drug-store readers to real glasses 20-some years ago. I appreciate the choice of frames offered -- they lean to discreetly stylish choices with a European flavour -- and the care with which they match the lenses to specific uses. I count them as a major personal resource and recommend them highly.

I had had an accident on the subway leading my frame to be broken. Luckily, Olsson Optical is just a block away from my workplace, so I was able to stop in. Klas was able to very promptly and precisely shave my lenses to fit into a new frame. All in all, I was in the store for approximately 20 minutes,and am very satisfied with the final product. Highly recommended!

I've often seen the owner sweeping the street in front of his shop. This speaks to the care he takes with the details. Bought glasses here years ago, but mostly wear contacts. I remember those glasses fondly and would return for their replacement in a heartbeat. Olsson carries thoughtful, modern styles.
