Extremely Conscientious Hair Organization first opened its doors in 1992 in downtown Kingston. By 2000, the salon was so busy with vibrant stylists and a wonderful clientele that we created a partnership and opened the current location at 344 Bagot Street, a beautiful space in a historic building with visitor parking!

Absolutely in love with Susan! She did such a great job on my haircut, I could not stop smiling the entire time. She matched what I wanted perfectly and was extremely detailed in her work. I had such a great experience and really felt like she was giving her best effort in providing a quality experience and result. This is so important from a customer service perspective. I am so thrilled and happy with my new hair and can't wait to go back soon!

Very good salon, with an excellent range of services. Staff includes very experienced stylists and expert colourists. Services are not rushed. Consultations are thorough. Covid protection measures are evident throughout the space, but subtle. Accessible. Plus, very good selection of art by local artist.

I hadn't had my hair cut in 6 months and my ends were brutally dry and frizzy. Ricky was the stylist I didn't know I needed. He expertly and precisely cut my hair quickly yet carefully and made me feel perfectly at ease even though haircuts during COVID 19 can be stressful. The folks at Echo were lovely too, I had a contactless check in and check out and felt very safe and well taken care of throughout the hour I was at the salon. So happy with my experience that my partner booked a cut with Ricky the following week too!

I went to ECHO with 11 bridesmaids and family members on the morning of my wedding for hair and makeup. The team did a fantastic job. They were able to work with all of the varying hair types and bring each individual’s vision to life. They are talented at hair and makeup, but are also wonderful people. They put us all at ease and helped us to have a stress-free morning. You can tell how much they care about their clients, even taking the time to fix some of the girls’ hair and makeup later in the morning, so that no one left until they felt 100% happy with their look.

Popped in for a haircut without an appointment. The front desk was able to get me in with a stylist within minutes of entering the building. I received a fantastic haircut and was treated like I have been a client for many years. The professionalism from the front desk to the stylists made the overall experience amazing and I will definitely be returning! If you’re looking for a stylist I highly recommend Jess Austin you will not be disappointed!

I have tried many salons and colorists in Kingston and Toronto before finding Oskar. I've now been seeing him for almost 10 years to get my hair colored and am never disappointed. His experience, together with his know-how and listening skills = great color that turns out looking gorgeous, shiny and natural. He is friendly, professional and most important - excellent at what he does. I always look forward to a relaxing experience at this salon.
